I'll start with the good. This is a quiet compound with a cool vibe, a neat pool, and easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. Now the bad. We discovered numerous dead bugs in the bed as well as a few long black hairs (neither my girlfriend nor I have black hair). We attempted to contact the host to resolve this issue, and they did not respond. The unit also lacked privacy. First, someone could look right into the bathroom. In addition, the front door had a window which was barely covered by a see-through veil, providing a direct line of sight to the bed. The 3rd room was perfect for three of us with three beds, and the little kitchen was enough for our needs. We enjoyed takeout dinner in the courtyard each night, watched the sunset from our patio, and watched movie in the room. The owners were very friendly and responsive, and the whole place was very cute. There's even a heated pool (which I missed when booking so we didn't have swimsuits). We will definitely stay here when we visit Joshua Tree again. We can't wait to come back! ##### Amie B.
