Bed linen and towels are included. 1 hour 19 minutes to Trolltunga parking. In the center of Herand, 2 km from the apartment, you will find a grocery store that is open day and night when you enter with your card. There is a restaurant that will usually be open in June, July and August. Siloen (the silo) is were we used to have food for all the chicken in the barn, and now we hope you will have a pleasant stay here! The Neighborhood: Nice surroundings, please see pictures for suggested places where you can walk in Herand. Getting Around: You will get info about the address when you make the reservation. Please see pictures about public transportation, as we can not post links here. If you come from Odda you can either drive through Jondal, which is the fastest way, or through Utne, where you will see a lot of nice nature =) Other Things to Note: If you come from Oslo/Gardermoen we recommend that you take road E134 over Haukelifjell, and not Road 7, even if this is the shortest way. There are not many ferries going from Kinsarvik to Utne, and in the winter the weather is better at road E134. Interaction with Guests: Questions before you arrive in Herand an be directed to Kenneth through Airbnb/message/phone. If you have questions when you are in Herand, please direct it to Bjørg and Christian who is in the area. Not the easiest hiking route, I have to admit (well, it might be if the weather is welcoming and you're wearing a nice pair of water resistant boots) needless to say we were lacking any of those (dumb us). At some points you literally have to balance on a rope (very wet with ice cold water streaming down the sleeves as you're grabbing it) 90 degrees up the rocks. The very end is breathtaking though-massive pile of snow, ice and waterfalls all pale blue as the air is ridiculously clean there. Take extra care, however, the surfaces, little bridges and pathways get really slippery if it rains.
