Perfectly situated between Pine Creek and the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Rental includes kayaks, tubes, bikes, outdoor games, indoor games, swing set, and fire pit overlooking the creek. Perfect for the whole family! Spend your days filled with endless outdoor activities or relax on the deck overlooking the creek! The property has direct creek access and easy access to the rail trail bike path. The 65-mile long pine creek rail trail is ideal for biking, hiking, running and Cross Country Skiing and was ranked a Top 10 Bike Ride by the USA Today. As you venture outside you will find a screened in porch which leads to the deck overlooking the creek. Here you will find 2 areas for outdoor dining/seating, a new propane grill, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. A set of stairs leads down to the creek for direct access for water activities. Property includes the use of 4 adult kayaks situated on the rack adjacent to the access. Had no enough fun outside, relax inside with the comfort of central air conditioning and a gas fireplace to cozy up during the cooler months. Inside you will find a large sectional sofa, fly tying table for fishermen, DVDs, books, board games, and a variety of children's toys available for use. The dining room has a large table with 7 chairs plus additional seating at the bar. The house sleeps up to 10 adults comfortably and the interior is newly renovated as of 2024 with updated bathrooms and flooring. More renovations planned for 2026! Bedroom 1 - 2nd floor (master bedroom), queen bed and full size futon, creek and mountain views, no access permitted to the 2nd story deck as it needs repairs. Otter Lodge was clean, comfortable, and in a great location with easy access to the creek right out the back door. It was awesome to have access to the kayaks. They were easy to get from the rack into the water and back again. During our stay the fishing and paddling were great. Before the creek temps crept up towards 70 (due to the heatwave), we caught many brown and rainbow trout, and smallmouth bass. Dry fly action was full on. Tributary creeks were also good, with water temps staying cooler. Access to the rail trail was good, but not great since you have to walk either way down the road a bit to get to a break in the fence (only an issue if you have a bike that’s not easy to lift over the fence). There is so much to do in the area, particularly if you’re into biking, hiking, paddling and fishing. Or you can just chill on the back deck, in the Adirondack chairs on the patio, or sit your butt right in the creek and enjoy watching the many birds (king fishers, bald eagles, red wing black birds). Everything was well stocked, very clean, and exactly as described. This is a wonderful house for kids-there are so many toys, games, and outdoor play areas. We loved having the stream out front, enjoyed the tubes, the firepit, and the screened porch. Access to the bike trail was great for walking and riding. Having kayaks and tubes for us to use was super fun . The fire pit in the evening beautiful. AC and WiFi great we had no issues with that at all. Just two suggestions possibly a later check out even just an hour and the path to the creek needs to be addressed. We are active seniors and that was a challenge and not safe for any ages . I do understand there are regulations regarding what you can do at waters edge, but even a railing would help especially when lugging kayaks and tubes . Our family had a fantastic stay at the Otter Lodge. It was clean, well stocked, and had great extras- like the kayaks, bikes, fire pit and grill. Productive fishing, tubing, kayaking, biking, hiking and bird watching and toys for the almost 3 year old kept everyone entertained. House is well stocked with movies, games, and toys. A clothes line of some type would be nice to hang wet bathing suits and life jackets, although there is an on site washer and dryer. We loved the house decor! ##### Marie P.
