Steigenberger Esplanade Jena

Carl-Zeiss-Platz 4, Jena - Map

Every time I come to Jena, I always stay at the Steigenberger. It's very centrally located, clean and the staff is welcoming. There are few other hotels that compare in terms of its modern facilities. If you are looking for more rustic accommodations, then there are other places you ought to consider. Try out Kardamom - the food is great! Not your standard German fare, but there are plenty of other options for that in Jena. When I first came to Steigenberger, they offered limited WLAN/Wi-Fi access (2 hours free/day). Over the past year, it has been unlimited, but sooooo slow. This has to change. Modern hotel chains need to offer free, unlimited high-speed internet access to travelers, whether there for pleasure or for business.
