Great stay at the Brown Hotel. We enjoyed the Hot Brown and Derby Pie. Walkable to other parts of the City and distillery's. We would recommend the hotel and we would stay there again in the future.

The hotel is exquisite. Just a beautiful structure. Driving a truck was difficult at the parking garage which is third person owned but they made it work for us. Tonight we happened into the piano bar that was just amazing. Dessert coffee were wonderful. Guest services leaves a little be desired butaybe they need some training. Overall we loved it.

Place was real nice and historic, but the checkout staff apparently was having a bad day. We stayed in luxury room but wasn’t that impressed for the price. Massive leaks in the 3rd floor have caused the ceiling to crumble and collapse in some places. Dinner was great; had the hot brown and salmon- both on point. Breakfast at the cafe was good too. Left unimpressed other than it was good but nothing special.

The staff was the friendliest I’ve ever experienced. The restaurant and the bar were amazing. The architecture of the hotel is a must see.

The place is really nice. I enjoyed the Historical features about this place stafff is friendly. Everything was great on that end.The one thing that I hated was the beds!!! We had 4 people 2 rooms, deluxe, and we all slept Awful. the beds are hard as a rock. And the mattresses are just plain old and hard.. I thought they had pillow top mattresses. Turns out there was just a pillow on top of the mattress. If they would just get better, mattresses and a coffee bar in the morning Downstairs VS the miniature coffee machine in my room. This would have been one of 5he best hotels!

The Brown Hotel is absolutely beautiful - a great job of historic and modern convenience. The staff is amazing - everyone went out of their way to be helpful - especially Josh - from the moment we pulled up to the front door to the moment he brought our car with our bags already loaded in - could not have been more caring and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was amazing. The service there was spectacular as well. I walked around the downtown area surrounding the hotel on Sunday morning. The hotel is amazing. The neighborhood is not. I turned around several times when things got sketchy, and I was appreciative of the Louisville Police on foot patrol. While we'll stay at the Brown Hotel again (over and over - it's delightful), I'll get my exercise some other way. I HIGHLY recommend the Brown Hotel.

The Brown is an elegant 100 year old hotel with a great parking situation. We spent only one night there but are likely to return for our next trip through Louisville. The plaster work and woodwork are high class and the room spacious. Dinner and the bar service were top notch. We were very comfortable with the staff and atmosphere.

This is a top tier hotel that we’ve stayed at many times and always received stellar service. This time the person that checked us in was less than welcoming and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them, which is not the type of service we’ve come to expect from The Brown. Later that night our group of 8 and another smaller group were seated in the lobby to talk and a staff person told us we had to leave the lobby because the bar was closing. We weren’t in the bar and weren’t being particularly loud. There are no other public gathering places and none of our rooms could seat 8 people comfortably. None of our party had ever been asked to leave a hotel lobby and both groups were very surprised that this happened at a hotel that is normally so accommodating. Hopefully the hotel will address the issues and our next stay will be back to the usual standards.

A beautiful historic hotel, that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Charming lobby, restaurants and bar area. Had one of my favorite breakfasts at the J Grahams' Cafe. Covered parking is available. Overall the hotel was very nice and clean. A few areas in our room needed dusting, but with so many moldings, and baseboards etc I can see how some could get missed.
