Property Manager is responsive. The property is around half a mile from the majn gate. So you are by yourself. The property has everything you need. If there's one thing to improve or know about before going, its the constant drilling humming noise from the other side of the woods. It stopped bothering us though. You walk in and instantly your cares fade away. There is plenty of space both inside and outside the house for a large group. The house was so warm and inviting, the host even had a gift basket for us. The pond was right outside the back door and the fishing was incredible. We caught the biggest bass and even saw two otters at play. We had such a relaxing time and any questions were answered right away by the host. We stay in alot of vrbo properties in the area and this has been our top pic yet. We definitely plan on coming back for an extended trip next spring. I highly recommend this property. Large and open there was plenty of room for our group of 10 to spread out and enjoy the weekend. The lake was fantastic! Caught the biggest bass I have ever caught while fishing from the dock (16+ inches) and the grandkids caught fish as well. Enjoyed the trail around the edge for our morning walks and the dog loved to wade the edges. Jefferson is just a short drive away, but we honestly didn't go in as much as we thought we would because the house was so inviting. I highly recommend this property!! ##### Kris K. The front gate is linked to power not battery operated. So when there is a power failure you are trapped inside the property. This felt like a dangerous situation especially if there is a medical emergency or fire. Getting a hold of the host was difficult with delayed response to issues. Would not recommend this property. When it rains the dirt roads become soft and muddy making it difficult to navigate cars. We missed our scheduled prepaid activity due to front gate failure and the owner did not offer any compensation for our lost expense. Avoid this place. It is convenient to Jefferson and Caddo Lake activities. The accommodations were spacious and the house offered all the amenities needed to cook and enjoy the house. The house was immaculate and all the amenities that were stated in the listing were there plus some. The lake behind the house was beautiful and we caught many fish. The gated area in front of the house was perfect for my daughters pugs. Next time we go to Jefferson, we will definitely try and stay one night here again. ##### Marnie M.
