This house was perfect! It was a nice central location on the lake. The house was clean and well stocked, in the beds were very comfortable. The only drawback, and it was a small thing, is that parking is very limited. The driveway is steep and there's limited parking above the house. We just left our boat trailers down at the nearby boat landing, which is allowed, and that took care of the parking issue for us. The home provided unforgettable views of the lake. You can paddle all day from the deck on the property into Caddo Lake. Everything was exactly as pictured in the listing, and there were many additional finishes that made the stay special - a fully stocked spice rack, smore's fixin's, a prepared fire pit, and more. Roasted hotdogs and smores with our grandkids and family. Hired the world famous guide Randy Deaver with Caddoprobass.com. Greatest guide, very patient with children/granddaughter as he taught her the art of bass fishing. Very successful trip for our granddaughter caught some really big bass! The house was wonderful- clean and precious and just had great vibes. The decor added to the chill vibe. So many amenities. The neighbors were welcoming and friendly with the cutest little dogs.we had a hilarious time backing out of the driveway and decided to park up top after that. The owners kept in touch and were ready to help if we needed anything. Highly recommend!!!! We can’t wait to come back, we thank you!!!. ##### Stephen S. All the common areas of the home face the lake and the view is awesome. In addition the home had so many great amenities. There are two canoes on property. We took them out each day and paddled the Caddo paddling trails. Beautiful! And having the canoes on property saved us both time and money. The kitchen is well stocked. Great deck. Make sure to bringbyour bug spray (luckily the hosts left some out for us!) We got eaten alive when we forgot to put it on. We saw lots of wildlife including many different birds, dragonflies and adorable tiny frogs. The noise outside at night was fascinating and we spent many late night hours trying to figure out which creature was making each noise. Didnt see any gators but found some small gator tracks! Clean, well stocked, wonderfully peaceful, very ready response from property mgr and very easy check in. Old folks take note, may not be necessarily senior friendly. I considered the spiral stair case but didn't worry about it and it was no problem at all. Steepness of drive is not exaggerated and you should be very steady on your feet to navigate the getting up and down grades, steps. Particularly the 2 steps from the deck into the house-they are especially high steps from a very short 70 something's perspective and there is nothing to hold to to steady yourself. Also note seating and think of how and where you want to spend your time while here. If you plan to be out on the water, deck, hot tub, fire pit it's wonderful. If, however, you simply want to sit in the air-conditioning and enjoy the beautiful view your seating is pretty much limited to the couch upstairs, no ottomans. Basically, if I just wasn't old and it hadn't been raining on my very limited stay I'd have loved this-lol!!! Come if you can and enjoy:) ##### Sheri T. It was well stocked with everything we needed (plus a bunch of thoughtful extras). It was so peaceful to sit in the hot tub, under the spanish moss filled cypress trees in the evenings. There was plenty of firewood for the firepit, and a great place to roast smores. The doc was beautiful, with a clear view of the lovely lake. We fully enjoyed the views, and the canoes provided. We ate well, and the kitchen was well equiped with nice things to cook with. The beds were very comfortable. We got deep sleep and dreamt every night. It was such a treat to be here for a long weekend. We didn't want to leave. The owners were responsive and very helpful. There was some stair climbing involved in the stay, but totally worth the panoramic views. We would rent it again in a heartbeat. ##### Shannon L.
