This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Our office adjoins the space, but your privacy is of the upmost importance. If you like nostalgia, you'll love this property. In the mid 1940's this building was once the very popular Tremain Brothers Lunchroom, and the main road through Jefferson City was present day McCarty. This property was very conveniently located, but difficult to exit due to the oddly placed driveway to the back door because it exits near an intersection with traffic lights. The ceiling fan and light metal “strings” were very noisy, but a fan was supplied. The kitchen and bathroom were wonderfully stocked, they thought of everything! (Even sugar, salt, and pepper ; a variety of coffee flavors for their “device” for you coffee drinkers). The bed is comfortable. The television’s were great with a variety of things to watch. There are brochures about Jefferson City, other magazines you can read. It was very easy to check in and out. Came to town for a few days to tour the capitol and prison. Business or Pleasure was located within easy walking distance of the prison (Prison Brews brewery is conveniently located at the halfway point!), and it's not too far of a stretch to walk to the capitol either. The house was clean, cozy and convenient, with good living, dining and sleeping spaces. The kitchen had all the gadgets and place settings we needed, and some provisioning was also provided. The owner does need to add a hair dryer, however. The bed was comfortable, and we were allowed to use the basement to safely store our bike.
