Nothing eclipsed our stay!
Our stay to view the totality of the eclipse on 4/8/24 was outstanding. The clouds cooperated and the view from the deck was perfect to watch the moon's slow march across the face of the sun - and then to be plunged into darkness surrounded by the trees and mountains was otherworldly. The house was neat, clean, and had everything we wanted or needed. Marty and Melissa were the perfect hosts with super easy and fast communication. We would love to stay again even without an eclipse!

Great place and location !!
Really enjoyed our stay here. Exactly as advertised and warm and cozy after skiing. It’s 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, 5 minutes to a small supermarket and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!!

Girls Hiking Weekend
This camp was the perfect size for our group of 5. We loved the dining table, the cozy living room, and the beds were so comfy. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to find all the gear. I recommend staying here for a get away weekend!

Great location!
Came for a long weekend. Very impressed with how clean the cabin was & with the thoughtful extras like hand sanitizer & lovely hand soaps, shampoo/conditioner & moisturizer in both bathrooms. Quiet location but close & scenic drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface & Ausable Chasm. A bathroom for the 2 upstairs bedrooms might be nice for larger families but the bathrooms on the 1st floor & basement were sufficient for us. Communication with owners was great! We hated to leave & would definitely rent again!!

Great location and excellent hosts
First time staying up in the Adirondacks. Stayed here for a wedding at Mountain House in Keene. Gorgeous property with great amenities. Home was very clean, and hosts were very receptive and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here to my friends and anyone looking.

Wonderful Chalet in the Adirondacks!
Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay here so much - we hated to leave! The property has everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. All of the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. Great communication from the host. Easy to get to Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid and Au Sable Chasm. Would definitely stay again when visiting the area!

Great Stay All Around
Excellent mountain cabin if you’re looking to get a remote-feeling stay while still be near major amenities (towns, Whiteface mountain, etc.) in the Adirondacks. Melissa is a polite, responsive, and very accommodating host. The property is well maintained and clean, with a well equipped kitchen, lots of things to keep you occupied, and modern furnishings. Common space is on the smaller side but the rooms are spacious enough and the goal in the mountains should be to get outside! One thing to note - when coming in the winter, local roads and the driveway really require 4WD as snow and ice can be challenging.

Awesome Stay
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Tons of room to spread out and enjoy. Very clean and comfortable! And the best Plow Driver in all of NY! Came to our rescue at 7am when we needed to be out the door for a race! Awesome stay! Great Hosts!

The house was very neat and clean. The beds were very comfortable. We weren’t able to work the tv and we couldn’t find any instructions. We were pleased to see a high chair as we ended up bringing an infant with us. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Great location
Easy access to the High Peaks, Lake Placid, Wilmington and Keene. Great deck and comfortable furniture. Good A/C on those hot days. The hosts answered any concerns or questions we had very quickly. We had a great time.

Room to spread out
Nice to be able spread out after visiting the Olympic sites, hike, etc. Everything we needed to cook out dinners, and a spare propane tank for grill which was needed on our 2nd night! So appreciated it being there:) Beds were comfy, 2 showers was a blessing with a pre-teen and teenage girl!

Beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck or around the fire pit. Excellent wifi. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of light come through the bedroom windows in the morning so it’s hard to sleep late.

Great Family Weekend
What a great weekend my family had this week. The property was excellent. The location was great. The hosts were wonderful. They accommodated two date change requests due to weather and Covid so that we could come a time my parents, siblings and their Spouses could all join together. This was our first of many trips back. Everything was clean, plenty of start up supplies and lovely decor. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay near Lake Placid or the area. Thank you.

Although overall it was excellent, the one thing that stands out is that the beds were the most comfortable of any rental/hotel I've slept in. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware necessary and a good quality stove. There are, however, way too many light switches... they just seem to be everywhere! Not a complaint but an observation. I'd stay there again.

We had a great stay at Wagner Camp! Everything was as described. It was very clean and the walls and linens where all white making it very bright and cheery for a February visit! Marty and Melissa were very responsive and super helpful! The house was nice to come back to after a day of hiking in the snow! We would stay here again!

XC Ski and Snowshoe Weekend of Perfection!
We had a WONDERFUL weekend at this sweet cabin in the woods. Perfectly located to make us feel close to so much, yet away from it all. The house is sweetly decorated, the beds are super comfy and everything was perfectly clean. The hosts were easy to connect to, gave great advice on places to eat/ things to do. Kitchen is small, but had everything you might need. We had a wonderful time and look forward to making it a yearly tradition. Thank you!

Perfect spot in the Adirondacks
We were looking for a centralized locale to accommodate our list of stops we wanted to do. This was great for our trips to Ausable Chasm, High Falls Gorge, Whiteface Mountain, a couple afternoon trail hikes, Jay Covered Bridge and we stopped at the Natural Stone bridge and Caves on the way home. Also stopped at the Jay Craft Ctr great pottery and the Sugar House creamery for some yogurt, cheese and honey. Great little farm store check hours very specific. The Home had everything we needed. Bright and light, lots of Windows, huge table with great views. Melissa was extremely responsive. Would stay here again.

Perfect Adirondack Cabin
This cabin fit everything we needed for our week in the Adirondacks. The house was clean and the table fit our whole family for meals ( my brothers family rented across the street). We loved our camp fires at night and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table once they were bored with the adults around the fire. We found this was perfect location for hiking, canoeing and visiting Whiteface Mountain!

What a great home!
We arrived to the Wagner Camp and loved the property. Upon entering the home, it was very clean and updated. The dining table is a work of art! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms are updated and no issues with hot water. Very convenient to have a washer and dryer. The fire pit outside was great. Home very very easy to find. Owner Melissa responds very quickly to any emails you send her. Thank you Melissa for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home in Jay! We look forward to coming back again next year! This home is great for couples or families with children.

Great weekend stay!
We had a great stay our weekend. The home is absolutely beautiful and was nestled in BEAUTIFUL wooded area. Private, quiet and clean home. The hosts provided everything we needed in the home. We loved having a morning cup of coffee on the wrap around balcony. Hopefully next time my husband and I can come when there is warmer weather and use the fire pit and stay longer!

Wonderful Winter Wonderland
This property is located in a quiet, private neighborhood. It was lovely to walk around and close to lake placid. The place is spacious and our group loved that the bedrooms were on different floors so we could have some space if desired! Great place and would stay again!

Short Hiking Trip
My family and I absolutely love this property! It's very clean, modern and beautiful. The kitchen is complete (even though the owner advised me to bring our own coffee, I still found coffee in the kitchen) - this made me very happy! The starter toiletries were also very thoughtful. We enjoyed the campfire on our second night. And the place is accessible to almost all of the attractions we went to. Overall, I am very pleased with our stay and will definitely come back for our future trips! Thank you Marty and Melissa for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

Perfect for anything!
The property managers were fantastic to offer suggestions and helping us with any questions even first thing in the morning! It was nice how engaging and willing to help they were. Location is perfect to do a multitude of things out and about but the property itself was amazing and we could’ve spent the whole time just at the cabin playing games and exploring. 10 for 10 would do again!

Lovely updated A frame in the forest
We rented this cottage to spend the holidays with our family and it was perfect. It was recently updated and has bright large rooms, the bathrooms are great, the living space super relaxing and the kitchen well equipped. Communicating with the owners was a real pleasure as they were responsive and helpful. I would rent this chalet again without a doubt.
