As you turn off from the main road onto the gravel driveway cutting through the forest, you feel like you're traveling back to a simpler time. It’s a delightful surprise when you arrive at the cabin and discover it’s brimming with modern comforts. A speechless view from every angle. The spacious wrap-around deck provides layered views of the North Georgia Mountains. Conveniently covered patio furnishings so you can enjoy the sights no matter the weather. Inside this 5,000 sq ft + home you will find 7 bedrooms, 3.5 bathroom cabin, you can take in the rich and tasteful decor accompanied with plush furnishings that will make you never want to leave. Top-of-the-line furniture and bedding, this cabin truly has it all and then some. On the main level, the well-equipped gourmet kitchen offers the opportunity for any budding or professional chef to cook up something delicious, and yet still have access to the views from every window. Enjoy a meal with the whole family at the spacious dining room table & then head over to the main room for a friendly game of air hockey or foosball! Either of those, not your taste? That's okay, upstairs you will find ping-pong and basketball! After some intense family competitions, head down to the terrace level where you find a wet bar area to make your vacation no less than perfect. If all that has worn you out, take a break and step outside to soak in the large hot tub. This cabin is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Ellijay and less than 1 mile from family Vineyard & Winery, Chateau Meichtry. Mountain Top Lodge is a beautifully decorated 7 bedroom, 3.5 bath log home that sleeps up to fourteen (14) people and offers the following: This property is equipped with security cameras facing driveway and parking area. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-washcloth per person listed on guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition we provide a complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1- roll paper towels, 4- kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more that this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments. There were 14 of us (full house) and we used almost every amenity - hot tub, grill, air hockey, basketball hoop, yard games, every kitchen appliance - and everything worked great. The views are breathtakingly gorgeous and the property very private and quiet. Bat watching off the deck at night was really cool and there are a ton of beautiful moths. The property was exactly as advertised. We did pick up some things at Walmart that made the weekend much easier (hope this is helpful for future guests): toilet paper (only 1 roll per bathroom provided), paper towels (only 1 roll provided), dish soap (a couple little bottles provided), hand soap (none in bathrooms), olive oil/spices/seasonings, trash bags (3 provided), blankets (it gets chilly at night), foil/Saran wrap, towels for the hot tub. ##### Sarah D. This was our first time to travel to the Georgia mountains and we were most impressed! We absolutly loved the house and the setting on top of the mountain. The home is beautiful and well maintained and in an ideal location. The home allows for gatherings on multiple levels and has great games for entertainment (ping pong, basketball, air hockey). We loved Ellijay and the restaurants as well as the shopping; however, we made the decision that the house was even more fun so we used the firepit, played games and cooked in the fantastic kitchen.
