The dock is a $80,000.00 flotation systems top of line two level plus swim platform and gazebo. High fashion colors and decorative moldings, wall hung smart Samsung and Sharp TV's. This home no doubt is super conveniently located with access to two major marina's Duskin Point and Squirrel's Marina only blocks away. As well as free dam launch 5 miles. Curry minutes away and Jasper Corridor X only 20 miles away. This property is among the absolute best lots and location on Smith Lake! Upper level: Bedroom 1: Queen size bed with triple dresser and night stand Bedroom 2: King size bed with armorer and night stand Bedroom 3: Queen size bed with private bathroom Lower level: Bedroom 1: Queen size bed room with night stand/dresser private bathroom Bedroom 2: Full size bed room with Semi-private bathroom Bedroom 3: Queen size bed room with Semi-private bathroom TV served by Direct TV. AT&T and Verizon reception is good. No internet/wifi service is provided. Each bathroom is stocked with towels. However, guest will need to provide their own swim/beach towels. Parking has provisions for 2 car covered carport and a concrete drive for 2 cars. A vacant corner lot 200 feet from home will allow for boat trailer, jet-ski trailer and overflow guest parking is provided. The rates for labor day/memorial day 4th july are $500.00 additional for a 4 night booking. The house can be used as two separate houses and basically is two kitchens two laundry rooms with washers and dryers .There are two porches both covered and both with table and chairs for lake front views. All of the kitchens are equipped with new Pioneer Women pots and pans, new coffee maker's and can opener's, and silverware. The flooring is mostly tile whitewashed hardwood look a like with some hardwood look a like vinyl plank. The 300-foot high dam, completed in 1961 by Alabama Power Company, impounds the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River to form the lake. Smith Lake has a surface area of 21,200 acres, 500 miles of shoreline, a watershed area of 944 square miles, a retention time of 435 days, and a maximum depth of 264 feet. The western side of the lake's watershed is crowned by the 180,000-acre Bankhead National Forest, which blankets the deeply dissected southern edge of the Cumberland Plateau. The Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River, Alabama's only Wild and Scenic River, flows through the Bankhead National Forest. The property was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and easy to access upon arrival. We had a great time relaxing on the dock before and after our days on the water. The upstairs balcony/porch was a perfect, safe spot for our one-year-old grandson to play while still being able to watch the activity on the dock.There was plenty of room for our group, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One small tip for future guests: check under the wicker lounger on the upstairs porch for wasp nests every day or two. It is an outdoor area, so this is more of a helpful heads-up than a complaint. There was spray under the sink, which made it easy to manage.After 13 trips to Smith Lake, this was by far the best boat dock of any property we’ve rented. We love the dock and proximity to Duskin Marina. We rent a pontoon from them and spend 2 days on the water. Our kids love to swim off of the dock. If you are arriving with your boat and some teens who want their own living room and like to sleep late-and others get up early, this is the place. The lake is clear as always. House is large. Parking is ok. Yard is level enough to make traveling to the deck easy. THE NOT SO GOOD: The house is older so I expect some imperfections, BUT, I think roaches, crickets and other bugs can be exterminated. They were crawling the walls and floors. The stairs going outside to the dock were in terrible shape with loose weak boards. The cleaning crew is not doing a good job, the dishes and silverware were dirty. The carpet going up the stairs is stained and filthy. The BBQ grill needs to be replaced, it caught fire while we were trying to use it. It is rusted and clogged with grease. I want to make clear that I did NOT contact the owner with any of these issues. I am sure he would have tried to do something. He needs to know these things to fix them if he desires to. We started going to Smith Lake last year, & have decided to make it an annual trip for our family. This was the perfect spot on the lake with easy access to fill up the boat & jet ski & a quick little boat ride to the rope swing & cliff jumping. Easy to contact the owners to let them know of a few small issues, but nothing that couldn’t be taken care of. ##### Ashley B. Everything was clean. The house does have wifi. The dock and lake were where we spent most of our time, perfect for swimming, fishing, and hanging out. ##### Samantha W. There aren’t a lot of houses with six bedrooms so it fits are family. The host was very responsive and sent someone out for a drain issue quickly. Beds are comfy but there is one room they doesn’t get enough air at all so we ended up using an air mattress (so more like a 5 bedroom). We love the dock and that’s where we spend most of our time. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for a big family. ##### Candy K.
