"We were there for the eclipse, the hotel was fairly priced when other's were sky high. It was everything we needed and more. "

"Booked hotel as it was in the path of the eclipse. Did not expect much considering the hotel is in a small Indiana town. Very pleasantly surprised. Staff & managers were friendly and attentive. Was impressed by the gentleman who serviced the breakfast area. He moved continuously the entire breakfast refilling items well before they had run out. The morning of the eclipse, there were a number of checkouts. The hotel had brought in more housekeeping staff (at least this was my impression) to get rooms cleaned and ready for new guests. The hotel was super prepared and carried out the day's work seemingly without effort. Don't know if I'll be in this area again but would book this hotel again in a heartbeat!"

"A friend and I traveled from the East Coast to view the April 2024 solar eclipse, and we stayed here two nights. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, because our experience was outstanding. The property was neat, clean, and quiet (for the most part). Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite. We had plenty of water pressure, hot water, and clean towels. The "breakfast" is really just self-serve snacks, but tasty and adequate. The only problem we had was a small dog that yapped continuously for over an hour on the night we arrived. When we called the front desk to complain we were told that they couldn't do anything about it. (?!) Fortunately, the dog's owners finally returned to their room and quiet returned to the hotel. No more problems the rest of our stay. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if returning to the area."

"This place has a mid century 1970s vibe. I would never update it because it is so cool. It could use better hot water, but overall it was great for the price and location."
