This unique tiny house is surrounded by majestic pine trees and is within walking distance of a quaint, shared neighborhood beach on the Albemarle Sound. The home is nestled within the woods and gives you that outdoorsy feeling while also being only a 3 minute walk to the beach. The sunsets are unforgettable . 20-30 minute drive to Kitty-Hawk and other public tourist OBX beaches depending on traffic that day. This tiny house is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or individuals seeking to find an unforgettable stay. 10 minute drive to H2OBX Waterpark. Our 480 sq.ft tiny house has a cozy bedroom with a surprisingly roomy living area connected to a full kitchen . The rooms are set up to give you a peaceful and relaxing experience. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal. Pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, cooking oil and salt and pepper are provided, making it convenient for you! There is a winery just 5 minutes from Juniper Cottage. A grocery store and many fantastic restaurants all less than a 10 minute drive from the Cottage. The house is raised so being able to walk up stairs is necessary . This property is not wheelchair accessible. This house is on a well system. At times depending on weather the water can smell like sulfur. This is not usual so don’t be alarmed. Firewood is not provided for the outdoor fire pit. An ACE hardware store is just 5 minutes away and firewood can be purchased there. We do allow two dogs max. There is a one time $40.00 pet fee for both of your dogs. You are responsible for any damages that may occur due to your pet . Pets are not allowed on the furniture. Some neighborhood dogs roam free in this small close knit community. They are very friendly but please be mindful of this for your pets safety when walking through the neighborhood. We require all pets to be on a leash when outdoors. This is a beautiful wooded area so expect some bugs! Dogs are required to have flea and tick prevention prior to arrival on the property. We love that you get to share this experience with your furry friends but please keep pets off of bed and futon. Trash gets picked up on Thursday mornings. If a guest is staying on a Wednesday night we ask that they bring the trash can to the street for pick up. At time of checkout guest are asked to put any sheets, towels, and rags that were used during their stay in the white hamper provided. Guest are asked to wash any dishes used and place on drying rack/mat. A 20 minute drive to Kitty Hawk beaches (easy to find free parking too), a <10 min from vineyard, grocery store, farm stand, and many other local stores! John and Mercy were excellent hosts, they gave us an extensive list of activities around the area as well as restaurant recommendations. The property itself is very charming and clean and away from all the hustle and bustle. The private neighborhood beach is excellent for watching the sunset, reading a book in the morning, and/or meeting the friendly neighborhood people/dogs. Dirt roads to access and tight parking entrance. There was some pet hair on the bedsheets when we arrived but changed them out with the extra set of sheets which was fine. There were plenty of things to do inside the cabin and overall was an enjoyable experience. ##### David L. I brought two dogs who had an awesome time along with my daughter. The beach is breath taking. The fire pit was so fun fun and so warm! Giant Jenga was a hit with my party! The home is beautiful and well kept. The hosts were amazing and very attentive. Communication was top notch. And the neighbors are friendly and helpful. I even forgot something and the host messaged me immediately and is getting it to me. This house will be great for anyone wanting to stay. Cute and efficient. Good bed and shower, including one outside! Sweet little community beach with an awesome sunset view. Large fire pit. We enjoyed BJ's Cafe in Jarvisburg and just the slower pace of the Soundside communities. Owners were very communictive and great directions. The place was better than what we expected. Nice secluded area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Check in and check out was really simple and easy.
