"Brilliant setting, we had toured the whole island and this was probably the best hotel we stayed at. Staff were so observant of your needs. Food very good. "We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us. There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too. There are buses every five minutes just outside that took us to the Tsunami museum one day and Galle Fort another for about 50p each, each way. Great fun and...

"The hotel is dated & needs a revamp. The first room was old, musty & tired. Water marks on the walls, very tired bathroom & poor fittings. The 2nd room was an improvement on the first although dated. Staff were friendly & amenable. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful but lacked variety. Pool area was clean & safe, although hogging of sunbeds started early 0600! Overall was a satisfactory stay however there are better value hotels along the same stretch of road. "

"Neevana is a modern, very comfortable hotel close to the centre of Hikkaduwa. The rooms are well appointed and those at the front have the most amazing view of the sea. The hotel restaurant serves tasty, carefully prepared food. We found the "Big Breakfast" to be particularly enjoyable, and our waiter, Anton, was always on hand to attend to our every need. "Heel schoon en comfortabel verblijf. Hele goede wifi, en Airconditioning 2 schone zwembaden mooi aangelegde tuin. Op korte loopafstand van de hoofdweg met veel restaurants. Ontbijt beschikbaar en op zich goed.. maar traag gereserveerd en verkeerde volgorde. Eerst Fruit dan na 10 minuten het Ei, dan na 10 minuten de toast en de koffie en fruitsap pas na 40 minuten... Maar zou er zo weer terug keren... prima."

"For the price this property really is brilliant. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, breakfast was decent and the location couldn’t be better. Rooms slightly outdated but can’t complain given the cost. Definitely would recommend. "

"This was a stunning end to my stay in Sri Lanka. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and general manager was around and introduced himself during breakfast. Cocktails and food was great. Breakfast was excellent. So many choices and nothing too much trouble. I can see it may be an issue in high season, but in October there was enough sunloungers at the pool and beach for everyone. Water supplied in room and on the beach/pool areas. WiFi was fast and reliable. Hotel offered turn down service which was a nice touch. Tip try the King Colada! Thank you Banisha for being so friendly and welcoming! <3"

"It's an old hotel. 50 yrs. So it's tired and needs a refurbish. Rooms are OK, but bathroom leaks water from the shower leaving puddles of water in the bathroom. Could smell urine in room 205 when using the shower so probably linked to the drainage system. Pool needs redone as several broken tiles and there were 3 people I saw who cut themselves including a member of staff and my daughter. Restaurant and bar is very good, great choice and food options are lovely. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Opposite a supermarket which is handy. So overall a really nice hotel, pretty basic but has great potential with a bit of investment. "
