Savor a classic summertime experience with recently renovated cook's kitchen designed in harmony with original Victorian era woodwork and charm. Wraparound porches for outdoor living include a screened side porch for dining, consistently cool ocean breezes, and panoramic views of Narragansett Bay from Newport Pell Bridge to Newport Harbor. Short 4 minute walk to East Ferry shops, restaurants, and beaches. Views from your private porch of the July 4 fireworks and frequent sailing races. Spectacular second floor "lookout" on spacious landing between the bedrooms. Rooms can be rearranged upon request with different bed configurations to suit your family's needs. Ample street and off-street parking (shared with separate cottage in rear of property); privacy hedges; enclosed outdoor shower; outdoor grill. Well behaved dogs of any size are welcome; invisible fence and compatible collars available if desired. Property is handy to Mackerel Cove Beach, the spectacular Beavertail Lighthouse State Park and its trails, Fort Wetherill cliffs and scuba diving, Battery nature trail, Marsh Meadows Wildlife Preserve and birdwatching, historic windmill, colonial Quaker meeting house, and many local organic farms (Windmist, Watson, Hodgkiss and Godena pollinator preserve). If you feel called to go "off island," you are 12 minutes by car to downtown Newport or a short walk to the ferry running direct to downtown Newport; bypass Newport Bridge and downtown traffic and have the ferry captain be your designated driver on evenings out on the town. On the mainland side you are 15 minutes to Wickford or Narragansett. Jamestown is an ideal central location to explore every part of Narragansett Bay by boat or car. There was black mold growing in the shower. There were two dirty pet beds, covered with pet hair in the living area. The towels and bed linens felt damp and smelled like mildew. There were no blinds or curtains in the main bedroom or main bathroom leaving no area to dress without being seen by neighbors. All of the furniture was old and looked like it came from Goodwill.
