This 6 bedroom oceanfront home has two identical sides each with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (there are two separate units joined by a back porch). Walking up the steps and entering through the front door, you will find the perfect, open concept floorplan on each side. Each fully equipped luxury kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and pristine off-white cabinets. Both kitchens have everything you need to prepare exquisite cuisine for your entire family after a day of fun in the sun. In the adjacent dining area with a high-top table seating 6 on each side, you will find the perfect spot to enjoy your scrumptious meal or play games with the family. Additional seating is available at the nearby bar area on both sides. Walking into the living area of either side you are welcomed by beautiful cheery colors including a large cushioned sleeper sofa and love seat. Each living room centers around a large flat screen TV and fireplace to cozy up beside during the crisp winter months. On either side natural light streams in through the large wall of windows where the serene ocean view will leave you speechless. No seaside home would be complete without a balcony to enjoy the gorgeous view and unwind after a long day on the beach and this home offers a plethora of balcony options including one just off of the living area on both sides. Down the hall on the same level on either side you will find a queen bedroom furnished with a beautiful bed, chest of drawers, and a vibrant comforter. An adjacent bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and beautiful granite countertops as well as a laundry area are also located on this level for your convenience. Heading up the stairs on either side and entering the bonus room, you will find a sofa and flat screen television perfect for kids wanting to enjoy a movie separate from the adults. The master bedroom retreat just down the hall on either side of the duplex features a king size bed with plush bedding, a flat screen television, a large chest of drawers, and your own private balcony overlooking the sandy shoreline. The adjoined master bathroom of each boasts a tiled walk in shower, garden tub, and double sinks with granite countertops. The second bedroom down the other end of the hall on either side is equipped with a king bed and a small Juliet balcony. We booked both sides of the property, so we had it all to ourselves. The semi private pool was perfect, and we ended up having that to ourselves too. I gave this property 4 stars because it could use some updating, and better pool furniture. The old hard plastic chairs were a disappointment along with the fact that there were no chaise lounges. No beach towels or beach chairs were provided either. We purchased some beach chairs, which we left there, so the next guests should be happy ; ) . We had some minor maintenance issues that were handled very quickly. We give the maintenance/management company 5 stars! Very attentive and returned our calls within 30 minutes. We rented both sides of the home (all six bedrooms). The two sides of the house were adjoined through the main floor balconies and we felt pretty connected, even though though they were separate. The setup of the home was great and felt spacious. A queen bed in the downstairs bedroom on side 1 would have worked better for us (instead of full), but we made it work. Just know that if you have multiple couples staying in the home. The pool is not in front of this home, but is right at the bottom of the stairs as you walk off your balcony. The owners of both properties (some of whom we met and they were delightful :) often stay in the identical home next door. The pool is shared with them, if they or their guests are using it. It was a pretty good sized pool for a beach house. It was comfortably warm and we never felt crowded. The boardwalk to the beautiful beach is right between the homes. We’ve stayed on the southern end of the island and preferred this location. It’s more of a neighborhood, but is walkable to a few good restaurants (Salt Life...delicious), a playground, and mini-golf. Fort Clinch is close by and worth the visit. One of our favorite parts of this location was how close we were to historic downtown Fernandina. Dinner, boat cruise, ice cream, shopping, waterfront...there is so much to do there and it’s our favorite beach town! The only thing I didn’t rate 5 stars was cleanliness. All bathrooms, the kitchens, living spaces and bedrooms were very clean and ready for our arrival. The home might just be ready for a deep clean to take care of stuff that accumulates over time in any home! It is obviously well-cared for and we would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a 3-bedroom or 6-bedroom vacation home with a pool, right on the beach in Amelia! ##### Danielle W. I feel like it needs a major renovation! The size of the condo worked great for us, but it needs new everything! We liked that there was a pool and it was very clean.
