Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in Fernandina Beach. The location to the beach starts at the bottom of the deck steps. Wiggle your toes into the sand and feel the grounding taking place within your body as you relax and breathe in the salty air. Take a long stroll along the beach and steal a treasure or two from the ocean's bountiful supply as a reminder of your visit to this beautiful island. Check-in is easy with our contactless process. Your code for the lock box will be the last 4 of your cell number. You will receive this code 15 minutes before check-in. The door is an Andersen high impact door with a 3 point locking system. After booking, you will have access to my cell phone number. My handyman and housekeeper live close by and are eager to help should issues arise. The neighborhood is a mix of long term residents and short term rental properties. Our Cottage by the Sea is located a short distance from Main Beach where you can enjoy two restaurants, a playground and a round of Putt Putt. The downtown area of Fernandina Beach is located less than 3 miles of the Cottage. Our downtown has a variety of delicious restaurants, shops and tasty treats like homemade chocolates, a bakery and 2 ice cream shops. The downtown hosts a local fresh farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Guests have full access to the home with no shared interior spaces. Parking for the cottage is easily accessible and located between the Cottage and our Rosie's Retreat. We can accommodate 2 vehicles. 2 bedroom/ 2 full bath Cottage by the Sea A total renovation was completed Spring of 2024. The Cottage by the Sea sits directly on the sand with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean. This is the second year we have spent four weeks at Amy’s cottage by the sea and we will be coming back next year. It’s a prime location: right on the beach and close to downtown. There is always a breeze so it is comfortable even on hot days. The sunrises are spectacular! The new renovation brings the rental to a whole new level: new baths, kitchen and AC. It was wonderful the first time, but this time we were greeted with a whole new layout and remodel!! The kitchen view is amazing!!! You can prepare meals and get a dose of “Vitamin Sea” just from the amazing view! It’s super clean and Amy is a super host and thinks of all the little things to make your stay more enjoyable! Did I mention you’re right on the beach?!!! A minute’s walk is very convenient and makes it that much more fun when you’re setting up for a day on the sand. You’re also less than two miles from downtown where you have shops and delicious restaurants. We have already rebooked and can’t wait to come back to one of our favorite spots! ##### Michelle G. We have stayed at this little place for 2 years now. Once before the remodel and now after. We absolutely loved it both times, but the remodel is WOW! They did an excellent job on it. Brand new updated kitchen, new flooring, new laundry room, a new additional bathroom, and different bedroom setups. We love the location and the owner was staying in the house behind this place while we were here so it was nice to actually meet her. They are lovely people. Everything we needed was included and much appreciated. We will always try to get this same cottage when we come to the island, as we have come to think of it as our special little getaway.
