Monterey is an established riverfront neighborhood in Arlington, known for its mid-century homes, lush tree canopy, and quiet residential feel. Just minutes from downtown and a short drive to the beach, it blends serenity with city access. Groceries, shops, and riverside walks are nearby, making it a perfect balance of peaceful retreat and convenience. You will have access to the entire property. Failure to report damages could result in liability for repair or replacement costs. ●Dishes: Wash all dishes and run the dishwasher (if applicable) before leaving. ●Windows: Keep windows closed for security. ●Laundry: Avoid overloading machines; do not wash sandy items, and clean the dryer lint trap. ●Storage Closet: Keep this area closed and locked. ●Consumables: Leftover items are at your discretion; freshness is not guaranteed. ●Furniture: Do not rearrange. ●Parties & Events: Unauthorized parties are not allowed; violations will result in additional charges and immediate eviction. ●Only registered guests are permitted to stay at the property. If you would like to add extra guests beyond the number initially registered, please request approval before finalizing your booking. Any additional guests that exceed the maximum allowed at the property will incur an additional charge of $100 per person. That was fine, and we washed the dishes by hand. Good communication to start. However, once we arrived we noticed a few other items that made our stay a bit rough.The Bad:The trash can is completely full, and I’m not sure where we are going to put our trash?The sofa leg is really bad. We can use the couch. I took the legs off and put it on the floor, on a rug. The smaller bedroom has a sliding glass door whose handle is hanging on with a single screw. The water smells really bad. I believe it’s well water, but I’m not sure that is mentioned the posting for this property. It kinda should be. It’s bad. Like sulfur bad. Kinda like eggs. Both the tubs have mold and there aren’t any stoppers for baths. The exhaust fan in the master bedroom is grinding really loudly and we can’t use it for fear of waking up the whole house. Curtain rods have both fallen when the bathroom door hits them. However, we don’t open the doors, they sorta open on their own, and then bang into the curtain rod. I am not sure if there is propane hidden somewhere, but the grill isn’t attached to a propane tank. The good:The property and walking deck are gorgeous. Very quiet. Nice!Beds and pillows are awesome. Thank you for the wine! My favorite brand.
