They lied about the pool.. we called right before we booked and they said they had a pool (Never actually saying that it had been closed for the last 2yrs and actually doesn't even belong to them but the Scottish hotel beside of them) I HAVE 4 KIDS!!! all the pictures on the ad were photoshopped and made to look way better than the actual property. False advertising and I will be filing a complaint and asking for a full refund!! NEVER STAY HERE!!!

Front desk service was very friendly and professional. But the facility is in very poor condition. People asking for spare change in the parking lot. Unlighted halls and stairwells. As for cleanliness- there was a dirty wash cloth hanging in the shower. We left and went to a Hampton. That being said, it was half the cost of the Hampton. So if you’re feeling frugal and adventurous, go for it.

Definitely Consider Staying at The Magnuson
After an EXTREMELY RUDE encounter with two of the 3 night desk clerks at the Scottish Inn next door while trying to check in through our reservation, I went to the Magnuson and found the clerk VERY warm and happy to be of SERVICE. He provided information which I needed but did not voice which made my impression of this inexpensive hotel better. The room was not remarkable but neither was it dingy, grimy or sticky.

The manager working that day was very rude and unprofessional. I had to wait at the window for over ten minutes while he argued on the phone with someone. I just got in from Texas and only wanted to shower and rest. He wouldn’t let me check in early so I just left and found another place to stay even though I’d already paid for the room online and it was non refundable. I’ll never book this motel again.

Just Don’t Stay Here!
Hotel looks nothing like the photos. It is very run down and filthy. The bathroom sink was missing the facet knob. Room smelled of mildew and smoke even though this is a “non smoking” hotel. We should have left. We didn’t even shower there because the tub was so stained. The worst part is I left something in the room and of course no one found it.

The entire place is falling apart. Upon my arrival, there was no one in the front office and I had to go searching for an employee. same thing when I checked out, couldn't find an employee. My room was incredibly nasty. Asked for a non-smoking room, got a room that was clearly used to smoke everything. Multiple holes in the wall. All fixtures - light fixtures, faucets, door knobs, you name it- they were all loose. The door to my room had a hole in the bottom of it so it didn't even seal properly. The best part about my stay was that I was woken up by a prostitute at 3 in the morning. This place is horrendous. Do not-and I mean under any circumstances- do not stay here.

Room was dirty as soon as we arrived. Floor was dirty and toilet was overflowing. Notified staff and they said they would fix it after I checked out. There were holes in the walls. Tub was dirty. We called for housekeeping but they never showed up. Pool was closed the whole time we stayed there. I got this hotel to meet friends coming to visit me since I’m in the military but very disappointed. I ended up getting another hotel room somewhere else so I could stay there since it was horrible. I would have asked for a refund since I only slept there one of the 2 nights I booked it. Would discourage anyone booking a room to stay away. Very disappointed.

I left Monday morning. Came back Monday evening and neither bed had been refresh (no change of bedding/sheets, pillow cases?) They left clean towels and a roll of tissue on one of the bed? Was really surprised as housekeepers normally do a good job?

I am beyonddddd pissed and disgusted! Blood stains under the sheets on the bed bug cover. Absolutely filthy. We got a non smoking room and there were spiderwebs all over the room. The tub,sink and bathroom including the tub was absolutely DISGUSTING. If it was not so hot out i would have slept in my car. Homeless hanging out all over the property. Everything was SO dirty! I would not let a blind person sleep here and this was after i drove 5hrs and didnt check in til 10pm. Beyond pissed! Trying to upload photos and hotels . Com will not allow

It was a mistake that we booked that hotel. Yes the hotel price was cheap but I never thought that they never maintain the hotel to keep it comfortable atleast to sleep. Bed bugs, molds, chip off paints, broken doors. Stolen coffee maker. Smells weed all the time. Noisy next door. It's what will be waiting for you. I can't blame the hotel if the guests that stayed before really took time to ruin the hotel. But please do something to make it liveable again.
