You are invited to stay at our second home / beach condo in the private gated community of Ocean Place. A wood paneled elevator brings you up to the fifth floor and Suite 59\. This fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condominium is within the Summer Beach Resort and directly south of the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Spa. It is the larger of the 2BR units in Ocean Place, has 10 foot ceilings and plenty of room for 2 couples or a family of 6\. The oceanfront bedroom has a King Bed with traditional mattress, and the second bedroom has a Queen bed with pillow-top memory foam mattress. There's also a Queen sleeper sofa in the Great Room, large screen HDTV’s in Great Room and bedrooms with free Xfinity cable service, HBO and high speed wi-fi / internet. Views of the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the kitchen, dining and living room areas and master bedroom, and a 180 degree ocean view from the private outdoor balcony, accessible from both the living room and master bedroom. Personal office desk, iMac and work area in the master bedroom has an ocean view also. You will enjoy all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, spare linens, bath and beach towels. You'll have access to the storage closet in the outside hallway with 8 beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas and two bicycles. Ocean Place has two oceanfront pools for guests, both with plenty of chaise lounges, and outdoor shower and boardwalks leading to the ocean. There is a private path and sidewalk leading to the Ritz Carlton Hotel where you can enjoy the world class spa, exclusive shops, drinks at the poolside bar, and dining at their delicious restaurants (reservations required). When not enjoying the beach, you can shop the historic district of Fernandina Beach to the north, bicycle in the Amelia Island Resort to the south, play golf at several great courses on and around Amelia Island, and dine at many great restaurants. Hosts provide things that many others do not - a small cooler for your trip to the beach or one of the Amelia cruises; shampoo and soaps in bathrooms; a very well-stocked kitchen all the way down to plastic bags, paper plates, plastic tea pitcher, and condiments and other items in fridge; and plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. You'd be surprised at how sparse some upskill condos can be - providing you nothing more than salt and pepper! We were pleased that both bathrooms had step-in showers. Porch has a nice table and four chairs with comfy cushions, as well as two lounge chairs. You are on the fifth floor with great views. You are far enough from elevator to not have any unnecessary noise, as well as not hanging right over a pool where you may have guests who are having a wonderful time, but noisy. We all slept marvelously. We could tell the owners really wanted to ensure a terrific stay for guests, and we were "sold." And, the icing on the cake, two tervis tumbers - one for UGA and one for UNC. One our alma mater for us all, the other one of my long-term employers. It was the perfect stay, and we cannot wait to book again. ##### Renee B. There were breathtaking views of the pristine beach shoreline and morning sunrises. The condo itself was impeccably clean and well appointed. The location could not have been more perfect - just steps away from the beach and the sounds of the waves and close to many excellent restaurants. The amenities surpassed our expectations with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was friendly, responsive and easy to work with. We can't recommend this beach condo enough for anyone looking for the perfect ocean getaway. We are looking forward to a return visit next year. (As an unexpected bonus, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel next door put on a magnificent fireworks display two nights while we were there and we had a front row seat from the balcony!) ##### Robert G.
