Beautiful first-floor Turtle Dunes villa located on the south end of Amelia Island. Gorgeous, high-end finishes including granite countertops and stainless steel appliances make this villa the perfect place to vacation in style. The property is in the idyllic location too - just a few steps to the complex pool or to the Atlantic Ocean. Walk right out from your back patio to the water! Located in the award-winning Amelia Island Plantation, 1806 Turtle Dunes has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated to provide guests with the ultimate blend of high-end style and comfort. Both bedrooms boast ocean views, full bathrooms, and patio access. The property has been stocked with everything you'll need for a wonderful stay, including starter supplies and beach towels. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and nice cookware, and the unit offers a washer and dryer for guest use. In the living area, remote workers can utilize the desk. As part of the popular Turtle Dunes complex, this property provides access to the beautiful and spacious Sea Turtle shared pool, which is seasonally heated. The property also awards entry to the Dunes Club tennis courts. The gated Amelia Island Plantation (AIP) community is a beloved 1,340-acre paradise that is surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP. Golf is also available within the AIP at Oak Marsh and Little Sandy, as well as multiple other great courses on the island. Tee times can be scheduled online. Nearby, bike and golf carts can be rented to explore the larger community and venture to community playgrounds like Drummond Park and Aury Island. Many of our guests most enjoy strolling on the beach or along the AIP's miles of shaded walking and biking trails. For those looking to explore further afield, the scenic drive north on A1A will take you to the charming Fernandina Beach Historic District to enjoy the unique boutiques, shops and dining options. Drive south on A1A to visit the Talbot Islands, nature preserves known for gentle hiking and excellent birding opportunities. The other reviews talked about the proximity to the beach access walkway, so we were pleasantly surprised that the pool was also very close. (And we would get to see the neighborhood gopher tortoise that lives under the walkway on the way!) We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with our coffee in the morning, and it was so nice being able to take the dog for a walk right off of the patio, as well. The condo was very well stocked with anything you may need—from beach chairs, beach towels and umbrella to extra pillows/blankets, and coffee supplies. They thought of everything! It was also very convenient being the first condo near the covered drive and being so close to the garbage chute. On the way home, we were talking about when we would be able to come back and visit again, and how we were already missing the beautiful views! ##### Martha C. We loved being on the ground floor with such a beautiful front lawn just off the porch. Just steps from the pool and beach, this made it very convenient to run in and out without missing much fun time at the water! We had everything we needed in the condo for cooking and entertainment. I will definitely be booking 1806 Turtle Dunes again! Thank you to the wonderful owners for such a beautiful place! ##### Katie B. Our unit was on the ground floor which gave us excellent accessibility. A short drive provided great dining and, of course, you can also take a little longer drive to downtown. All in all, we’d be happy to rent this property again. We did have a minor glitch with the door-lock code but that was taken care of quickly. ##### Jodi P. The beach and pool were both fantastic. There were perfect sunrise views from every room of the unit. The walking paths and trails within the grounds were fun to explore and we used the to get to some of the Omni property shops, restaurants and amenities like the playground and fishing ponds. The beds in the unit were really comfortable. The 1 kitchen drawer was still broken from the other reviewers mentions from last year. I had take to take it out and just put it on the counter top the whole time we were there. The lower cabinets were all pretty old. Some of the dishes in the unit seemed permanently dirty, which isn't that great. But they had all of the kitchen tools we needed and the fridge, stove/oven, microwave and washer/dryer were all newer and worked really well. Assuming they make some kitchen repairs, I'd stay in this unit again. ##### Tiffany S. The unit was very clean and had lots of extras like dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, coffee filters, and a few paper products. The proximity to the beach and pool was fabulous.
