Completed in May 2015, the house has a modern style and feel. You won't feel closed-in or like you're staying at Grandma's in an out of date, older house With pale colors on the walls. This house is designed to make you think, "if I had a house on the beach, I'd want it to look like this." This is a pet-friendly house. Except for bears. We're not making that mistake again! We do not charge pet fees. The townhouse is located on a dead end road directly across from the beach and has excellent beach access (just 78 steps from door to shore). The home is located in a nice neighborhood adjacent to Surf City and is close to restaurants and stores. This is a luxury home with hardwood and tile floors and granite counter tops throughout. There are four covered porches, two of these have beautiful ocean and two have sound views. The bedrooms are huge, each measuring at least 13 ft. X 15 ft. Each bedroom contains a queen bed, night stands, dresser or chest of drawers, and a flat screen TV with cable. The sound facing bedroom on the first floor also has twin bunk bed. All rooms have ocean or sound views and the sound of the waves breaking on the beach will sooth even the most frazzled nerves. Two of the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms and the two remaining bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with separated double vanity area and shower/toilet areas. The kitchen and living room are an open air concept, with a large space that just begs for socializing and entertaining. The kitchen is huge with beautiful cabinets and granite counter-tops and includes: • stoneware plates and bowls • highball, wine, and martini glasses • plenty of silverware • pots & pans • baking dishes • both Keurig and regular drip coffee makers • and several small kitchen appliances including toaster, blender, griddle, and George Foreman grill The living room has sofas and chairs and a wall-mounted big screen HDTV with cable. Enjoy one of four decks (two ocean view, two sound view) in rocking chairs and quality adirondack chairs. The house is 16.5 feet off the ground and can park six cars underneath with room for at least two more cars in the gravel driveway. In addition to the front door, there is a poor-weather entry from under the house in case a shower rolls in off the ocean. Limit three dogs. We do not charge pet fees. All dogs must be at least one year of age, be fully house broken, up to date on all shots and must have had flea treatment within 30 days of the guests check in date. Fresh linens & bath towels are provided by a linen service. Beds are not made prior to arrival. We do not provide beach towels. We make sure there is toilet paper in each bathroom, and bags in the trash cans to start you off. We provide an amenity starter package with a roll of paper towels, two rolls of toilet paper, small bottles of dish soap, hand soap, lotion, etc., and coffee packet for one pot. We do not provide enough of these amenities for your entire stay. • A signed rental agreement and valid ID are required for all reservations. • This is a non-smoking house. Smoking is permitted on the decks. Tenants agree to do so responsibly. • Events are not permitted on the property. • Parking is provided for up to six (6) vehicles. No additional parking is provided. Our Cancellation Policy supersedes the no refund option provided by VRBO and is included on our rental agreement. Should Tenant have to cancel for any reason, the Tenant must notify the Owner immediately in writing via email. Tenant acknowledges that cancellation by the Tenant does not relieve the Tenant from the specific terms of the Agreement. However, the Owner will make every effort to re-rent the Property for the specified period. If the Property is re-rented for the specified period, advanced rent payments will be refunded to the Tenant less any discounts/expenses required to re-rent and less the Travel Insurance Premium. There are security cameras located in the carport. 10% military, police, firefighter discount available with ID required at check-in for mid-season and off season periods. The cleanliness could have been better. It appeared as if it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, someone else’s sock was under the dresser that I stayed in, there was large dead water bug behind the night stand in the room my granddaughter stayed in (saw it while I was plugging in her iPad to charge). The commodes needed a touch up, and the coffee table had a thick coat of dust on it. The living room furniture (couches ) looks and feels to be at the end of their lifespan . I realize that this property allows up to 3 dogs, which is a super, super nice benefit/bonus, which is why the couches probably need upgrading. Another bonus is having the linens and towels provided. One very nice feature was a brand new outside grill, we thoroughly enjoyed using it. You can definitely get your exercise with all the steps from the ground to the upper levels. Would not recommend this property to anyone with mobility issues. Again, overall this property is a very good place to rent and the value is reasonable. A short 40 minutes from the Wilmington airport. We were visiting our Marine and so he had a nice week off with us and showed us around. Easy access to the beach (very short walk from the house to the sand) through a public access point. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked with appliances and cooking utensils. Brand new grill was a terrific bonus. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. It was not an issue for anyone other than my elderly mother, but there are a lot of steps to climb from parking underneath the house to the living area with the kitchen. Aug 14, 2016 #### The house was great ! Our family recently stayed on Topsail Beach , our first time to this beach. The house worked well for us. Even though the outside temperatures were over 90 degrees every day, dual thermostats and many room fans helped to keep us extremely comfortable.We spent a great deal of time in the spacious kitchen/open family room and on the adjoining deck. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the beach . We will definitely be back! ##### Nancy E. The home is situated on an area of a North Carolina beach that was quiet and beautiful. The home is brand new (I think its 18 months old, and still looks pristine). I’ve rented a beach home on various beaches for the last 10 years. It was my first to Topsail Beach and I’ll be back without a doubt. We all are total beach bums, and the beach itself in that area is spectacular, with sand so soft and clean. The house has everything you need. It was very clean and spacious. We had plenty of room to spread out. Well stocked with towels, sheets and all dishware. We really didn’t need to bring anything for our stay. Booking was smooth and easy. Bob might be the nicest man to work with. He was amazing and kept an open line of communication with us before and during our stay. He responded very quickly to any questions we had and was great to work with. Each room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Each room also had a smart TV and full cable (unheard of really). Bedding was plush and clean. The washer and dryer were industrial size. I loved this house and I loved this trip! ##### Michael D. This is a terrific beach house! Perfect location in 2nd row beachfront homes, at very end of dead end smaller street...beach access 1 house down with amazing beach! Can see perfectly thru 1st row houses since nicely spaced apart. Very short drive down to Surf City shops, restaurants...but without all the crowds and packed together homes. Quiet location too...we thought it was perfect in many ways! The house itself beautifully done, new and very contemporary, done in more masculine colors of tans/blues/whites...nicely furnished with big comfy sofas/loveseats. Big open plan concept LR / DR area & Kitchen (beautiful and fully loaded with everything from pots/pans/utensils/blender/wok/stem ware etc...and charcoal grill to boot! Windows from kitchen/DR faced side st and sliding doors to beach facing covered big deck completed the light & airy space and beautiful vistas. On this 2nd family level was also a powder room and 1 big MBR with en-suite bath and inlet sound facing covered deck. Then on 1st level was another big MBR w/en-suite bath and it's own covered big deck. Then a back big BR facing inlet with it's own smaller deck...it shared a jack-n-jill bathroom with the middle BR. Lots of closet space and dresser space every room! Lots of privacy & elbow room! LR has giant flatscreen complete with cable and Netflix. No DVD player but we didn't miss it since had Netflix. We LOVED the lack of a million nautical/beach themed knickknacks everywhere! Very new, super well done and super clean!!! comes with it's own linens too! Bob is an excellent property manager as well- managing everything from beg. to end of rental. He showed up Sat for checkin and waited patiently while we were stuck doing initial food shopping at Harris Teeters. Walked us in (helping with groceries!) and showed /explained all...and made himself available for any questions /concerns we may have. One day after a mega rain storm he came around to check the house for damage from downspouts to garbage/recycle/grill...we felt we were in great hands. What a difference to have a hands-on and caring manager instead of usual realtors down here who hand you the keys at checkin and never really care much beyond that!!! It makes all the difference!
