Nice hotel on the river

Sara at the front desk was great! She gave us a room with a balcony overlooking the river. The room decor was updated and pleasant. The hotel itself is older and the sliding glass door took a lot of effort to slide and isn’t very sound proof. We could hear cars driving across the bridge all day and night. But it was fine for a one night stay. We were able to walk to the science center that is just down the street.

Nice stay in Jacksonville

Doubletree is always a nice stay and the kids feel that it was nice especially the fresh warm cookies. One complaint: the beds were too small

Nice hotel on the waterfront

My son and I stayed here while making a college visit nearby. Located on the waterfront, we took a long walk along the water, spotting dolphins along the way. Dinner was excellent, along with a bountiful breakfast the next morning. The staff demonstrated excellent customer service to our minimal needs. I would definitely stay at this Hilton Doubletree again.

Great location on the Riverwalk

The hotel staff is friendly. The room is clean. And the location is excellent. What else can you ask for? It is right on the the river so the views are beautiful and the breeze is appreciated ;)

Rude Staff & Management

Cons: Staff
Was woken up in the middle of the night on my second night at hotel by Manager saying my CC would not process Authorization. Told them it was security that had put a hold on my card. Staff was very Rude would not recommend.

Needs a Total Renovation

Pros: The staff and the views.
Cons: The entire hotel needs a complete renovation. Might need to be leveled and rebuilt.
Location: Good location along the St. Johns Riverwalk.
We spent one overnight to dine at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The room was only moderately clean with a popcorn ceiling that had a huge water spot on it. The bathroom had been "redone" but the bathroom sink was 2 inches deep and the bath tub still had all the very old plumbing with an old metal soap dish held by rusty screws. The floor was modernly tiled, but the grout was filthy. The staff was very nice and the views beautiful. Other than that, there must be much better hotels to stay at on the St. Johns River in downtown Jacksonville.

Clean room clean balcony with no nosey neighbors. I've been here veggie m before so I knew what to expect thats why we choose too stay here and especially because Ruth's Chris is right down stairs. I would definately recommend people to stay here.

Tired old hotel

We stayed at this property because of its location and were very disappointed. It is a tired old property that should be rated a 2 star at best. The traffic noise from the nearby expressway was awful and we could hear our neighbours talking in the next room. The heating/cooling unit was noisy and did not keep the room at the temperature chosen. All in all a terrible experience. When I complained to the assistant manager the next morning she just shrugged her shoulders and offered no compensation and barely an apology. We would never go back.

Overall it was a good stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The room was a small and the hall carpets were filthy. Room cleanliness was on point though.
