Overall it was a good stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The room was a small and the hall carpets were filthy. Room cleanliness was on point though.

Perfect Spot

This was a great hotel to be near the stadium for football purposes and there was friendly staff.

River front and clean

Check in was easy....rooms clean....staff nice....coffee bar awesome. We didn't eat breakfast, I believe it was $17.95 each. We did see it was a nice buffet.

I have this issue at most hotels. Pillows are too big, neck is sore in the AM Also, front door of the room is difficult to open. (room 428) No room to place toiletries in rest room. Needs a counter or shelf Bed was amazingly comfy though!!

Close to the St johns River

Pros: Close to food and entertainment.
Cons: The bathroom sink in room 1004 among other things looked like it had been beaten with a baseball bat.
Location: great breakfast in San Marco nightlife downtown, 25 min to the beach and shopping.
Hotel appeared to have had a recent remodel. Hotel room had a old feeling about it, although it was clean.

Photography and peaceful sleep...

Pros: The staff was awesome and friendly!
First of all, the hotel staff was excellent. I notified them that I was there to do photography and they assisted me with getting the best room/view for what I was trying to accomplish. kevinevansphotography.com

Dirty room and no sleep

I stayed here with my husband and two daughters last night. Our room was on a floor where most (all) of the guests were part of a wedding party. I believe that our room was reserved for a wedding guest, as there was a gift bag with wedding goodies and itinerary meant for that person. My husband called the front desk and was asked to bring the bag to the desk. We should have requested a different room right then. We left for dinner and came back a couple of hours later, when the wedding shenanigans began. From that point on, and ALL NIGHT we heard doors continuously slamming and people partying loudly. I’m all for a good party, and I understand the importance of celebrating. However, I’m frustrated that the hotel staff would put a family with young kids in a room which was obviously meant for wedding guests. We paid $169 for a sub-par room which was in dire need of a thorough cleaning which we barely even slept in. I will never stay at a Double-Tree Inn again. The cookies weren’t even that good. It was terrible.
