Says it an upscale hotel: IT IS NOT!!!

The bathtub was dirty. I asked them to clean it, they never did. The staff was rude and unhelpful. Room was super small. But the WORST part of all is that they charged BOTH of my credit cards and it has been six days and they have still not refunded the money. We have called the hotel and the bank daily and nothing!!! I AM SO ANGRY! and, they will charge you in advance for things you might spend, which many hotels do, but not this much! Breakfast was $17.95 per person, and I've had better free breakfast at "non-upscale" hotels. They are crooks. I hope I get my money back before I have to take it further!

The room, amenities, and overall experience was pleasant. I found most of the hotel staff to be pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the stay was plagued with issues. Each day, upon attempting to exit the garage, I found the exit station was broken and with the arm down necessitating a quick jog up the hill to the lobby and a rather exasperating conversation with the desk attendants and valets, explaining that the card reader and push-for-help button did nothing and this was not, in fact, user error as they initially insisted. Of even greater concern, I found out on my last night that the hotel had planned maintenance on their water system between 23.00 Sunday and 02.00 Monday, which extended a bit further in reality. This was never communicated to me when booking the hotel, checking-in, or dealing with the front-desk for aforementioned parking issues. When I informed the front-desk of my lack of water the night manager Debrah, whom I can only assume gave up a promising career at the DMV to work for Hilton, politely informed me that she knew nothing and knew no one who did. What a sad existence that must be! Seeing as how I spent the day walking about the zoo, and the evening at a rock club I was covered in sweat and cheap beer and found this experience rather problematic. Luckily for you, intrepid reader, this happened to me and not you! What are the odds you'll find yourself with similar problems at this fine hotel?

Very unhappy with this hotel. I pay extra for Riverview and I get the view of the top of a building and can’t see the river, the beds are hard, the shower head was broken and the towels were like using sandpaper to dry off. Will never stay here again
