Lakefront on a very beautiful cove and close to very popular ATV/UTV public trails! 3BR/3BA plus additional bunk area for kids. Bunk area sleeps up to 7 kids and includes their own big screen tv and gaming console. Enjoy the privacy and view of the lake from 3 different outside levels or stay inside and capture the view through the wall of windows. Close to I-75 on a very quiet part of the lake and only a short drive to 3 major ATV/UTV public off-road trails. Indoors you will find a fully equipped kitchen (oven, refrigerator, microwave, plates, cups, bowls, utensils, toaster, coffee pot and more). Finished basement includes 2nd full size refrigerator and washer/dryer. We also provide at no additional cost sheets, some bath towels and washcloths, toilet paper and hand/dish soap. Outdoors you will find an easy to get to extra large covered boat dock with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the quiet cove. Corn hole, swing, paddle boat and kayaks are provided and just a short walking distance to public hiking trails. Deep water dock provides year round boat access which makes for the ultimate year round fishermans vacation! House is close to Mountain Lake Marina, Norris Dam Marina and a short boat ride to Twin Cove Marina and Sequoyah Marina. Parking for 3-4 cars in driveway. Convenient boat ramp is minutes from house. Great location

We loved being so close to the best jumping wall on the lake. The kids spent every day jumping. We also were close enough to get ice cream everyday at multiple marinas. The extra room on the dock was great for the kids that didn’t want to float in the cove. The 90 some stairs from dock to house weren’t as bad as we anticipated-as long as you aren’t bringing a cooler full of food and drinks back at the end of the day.

Had An Amazing Stay!!

This is our family's third time staying at this house. We love it here. It has everything you want, right on the lake, great location, quiet and fairly private. Cindy is a wonderful host. We recommend this house to people all the time. Hoping to go again next year!

Memorial Day trip with old High School friends

We had a great time at the lake house this last Memorial Day weekend. The house is beautiful and in a peaceful secluded spot where we could enjoy each other’s company and have a good time without disturbing or being disturbed by others. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a lake trip getaway with some good friends.

Quiet Spot on the Lake!

We enjoyed our stay so much! We had four adults, and four children ranging in age from 2-9. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the kids enjoyed the lower level. The dock was perfect for swimming and docking our boat for the week. We utilized the paddle boat, kayaks, and floaties as well! The cove is quiet and does not have a lot of boat traffic. We were able to fully relax and enjoy the clear water and beautiful views of Norris Lake! We would definitely return!

Fantastic Stay! You can’t go wrong with this property and location!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house. We love the cove, the area of the lake, the dock and the house. The hosts are very responsive and even took the time to call us to make sure everything was good the second day of our stay. We did have an incident where thief’s stole items off our two boat mid week. Items stolen were not visible from water. Even if you think something secure and hidden, a thief will always find a way. This was unfortunate and we learned a hard lesson. However the owners were great in keeping in contact with us while we worked with law enforcement. The officer stated they get 3-4 reports daily for the entire lake. We would stay here again.

Quiet Cove Comfortable House

We rented this home for thanksgiving to meet mid way with family. The driveway is very steep! The house doesn’t allow pets yet I saw pet hair all over the floor. Overall the house did not look like it was just cleaned for our visit but rather like it sat for a while not being rented. Another disappointing thing was it didn’t have a wine bottle opener. I messaged the owner and they said there should be one but there wasn’t. I would have expected them to send one over. It definitely didn’t provide any of the usual necessities you get with other rental cabins such as paper towels, trash bags etc. Found that kind of weird. Overall the house is spacious and views are beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks and had a great time.

Best Get-Away Ever

If I could give Hiwassee Hideaway more than 5 stars, I would! The house was absolute perfection…our hosts left plenty of supplies and lots of information about restaurants and things to do…they were amazing!!!! The minute we walked into the house, our stress level disappeared and we were in heaven! It was so incredibly peaceful and looking out of the full wall of windows in the morning while the sun came up took our breath away. House was immaculate, beds were extremely comfortable and the house had plenty of amenities. Planning on making Hiwasse Hide-away our annual “retreat”. Rent this house….you won’t be dissappointed!!!!

Great location!

This spot on the lake was excellent - quiet cove, close to nice boating water, and not too far from highway/grocery. The stairs and dock setup were fabulous. Nicest stairs of any Norris property I've been to in the 8 years we've been going. The house was well equipped and big enough for our group. However, we found the single bath on the main floor to be just not enough for the 4 adults sharing it, just personal preference. The kid space downstairs was excellent for sleeping, playing, watching TV, etc. The only downfall on the property in my opinion was the outdoor space. The large table was on the lower deck right outside the kid's room. This wasn't ideal for groups with small kids who get to bed earlier. The owner was responsive and friendly. Overall, great experience and yet another amazing vacation on beautiful Norris Lake!

Hiawassee @ Norris Lake

This property is very nice and on a quiet cove which makes it great to swim in lake. There is a marina just a 5 min boat ride away that will drop off your boat rental right to dock, which was very convenient. All the stairs from house to dock can make it challenging and a chore if you forget something and very slippery when caught in rainy weather. Three recommendations to the owners: 1) the path from stairway to house, which are pavers in the ground on the hillside...are dangerous when wet. Maybe a concrete sidewalk would be better. 2) the baby gate at house does not fit the opening at top of stairs, would recommend finding one that does. We had a toddler with us and had to improvise to block the stairway. 3) the new lights installed in master bathroom above sink are not high enough for average height people. Both my husband and I are 5'9" and 5'8" respectively and had to duck to see in the mirror. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and hope to be back.

Great week

We had a great first trip to Norris! We loved this home and the location. Our boys (17, 15 and 13) loved the jumping rocks just outside the quiet cove. We rented a jet ski for 2 days from twin cove Marina and the pick up and drop off was very easy. (We also rented a boat but we waited too long and had to drive pretty far to get it and the return process wasn’t as easy as if we had rented from a close marina). I’d recommend renting a boat from mountain lake or twin cove but make sure to do it early. The driveway at this home took some time to get used to as it is steep but it was no where near as steep and long as some of the others we saw in the area. We preferred going down the gravel side and up the paved side if that’s helpful. 😂. My 3 boys and I were also able to join a local gym (for 1 week) to go to in the mornings. It was only 15 minutes away and the price was very reasonable. (Top Fitness). The owner’s recommended El Charro (Mexican) for us to try for dinner and our whole family loved it! We left a menu in the information booklet at the house. Thanks for a great week!!

What an incredible lake house. My family and I were there for a 4 day weekend trip and we loved it!

The pictures listed do not give this home any justice. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Very spacious, comfortable and inviting . None of us wanted to leave. Joe and Cindy were very nice and their communication along with recommendations for family outings, activities and food was great! I hope to visit this beautiful location soon.

Spectacular!

We were literally pulling our of our driveway (boat in tow) when the owner of our OTHER rental called to let us know they had a water line break and the rental was flooded. We got online and reached out to the owners of "Hiwassee Hideaway" and they responded immediately . They got their cleaning crew into the house and we were able to check-in that evening. They were so kind, considerate and accommodating! The house was fantastic and the location is perfect. We can't say enough great things about them and the house!
