Checked in around 11:30PM. Gentleman at the counter was nothing but nice. Gave me a set of keys that didn't work most likely due to me putting my phone near. Went and got 2nd set of keys which worked, unfortunately, there were already people fast asleep who forgot to put the safety latch on the door. Color them surprised.
I was then given another room after a brief phone call between counter worker & presumably the manager. This room was adequate with the exception of the bathroom. The tub was not cleaned well (or possibly stained) and drainage was sub-par leaving ankle deep water.
In the morning, I visited the fitness area and was very disappointed. While I am not naive to know this part of most guests stays are not too important, I do enjoy a servicable area to use. The 2 treadmills were not working nor was the stationary bike which left one cardio machine for use. The television didn't work and quite honestly it wasn't clean. Perhaps an update in this area is warranted including high quality treadmills which prevent injuries versus the design presently in place.
Overall, I'd say this stay falls under "you get what you pay for". That being said, I don't think quality has to be sacrificed in order to provide a lower cost solution. I'd also like to ensure we are clear, the 1 human resource I encounterd at the front-desk was nothing but accommodating.
