Despite being in one of the most crowded areas of Venice, the hotel was calm and at least my room was very quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, too.

This hotel is right at the heart of the Rialto Bridge, and it is centrally located. The staff is the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They are very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. The facilities are "quaint" and the decor is very reminiscent of the 1960s. Even the air conditioner is "nonstalgic."

Small room but everything there that you need. A comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Room overlooked the Rialto Bridge which was a bonus. Great location and convenient when travelling to a from airport with Alilaguna stop close by. No hotel bar but a great bar next door with reasonable prices. Only one lift so sometimes needed to wait a few minutes Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations and I would stay there again. Recommended.

Amazing location. Literally on door step of Rialto bridge. Lovely terrace. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was included. Room was very Venetian. Although, the room is very small, even by European standards. Bathroom was standard size and shower was large enough with a rainfall and handheld option. Very powerful shower. Room was clean. Due to the old nature of the hotel, there is no noise insulation so you can hear people talk outside on the street which echos up to your room. This isn't necessarily the hotels fault, but a note for any light sleepers. You almost will certainly hear people talking outside throughout the night even with the windows closed. Room nice and warm. Bed quite hard. Overall a solid 4/5 hotel with a great location. Would stay here again.

Great rooms with canal view. No better location in Venice. They need to up their game on breakfast is the only down side. Breakfast staff were particularly excellent but the food choice and quality was bland and dated. Apart from breakfast everything was perfect and we had a great stay

It location is the only plus for this hotel. Rooms are below average. Heating system wasn’t good. Shower area was the worst of all as it was so small even an average height person can’t take shower easily. Their carpets were vacuumed but were smelling. Lastly their front desk people were not helpful at all, during my stay I only met one person who was very nice and helpful. We booked because of location and the name but please don’t be fooled by the name. Can’t argue at all about their location which was Great.

If you’re planning on booking this place, don’t. I have no idea how this hotel is rated the way it is. This at best is a 4.5. When we first arrived, one of the rooms smelled of sewage, when they exchanged the room that room had a heating issue, and was a sweat house the entire night. Even when we tried to turn down the heat, it kept on blowing hot air in the room. The other room had water stained and cracked ceilings. Dear hotel, please do not try and explain that this is an old building and part of the charm. We have stayed in lots of old building in Venice. This is simply an old and poorly kept up hotel. Let’s now talk about the beds. You would think the one thing that a hotel would focus on is comfortable beds and pillows. Well this hotel has figured out that it’s the last thing they wanted to focus on. Hard, thin, and uncomfortable was their focus. Well done Rialto. The breakfast..well as soon as we looked, we walked out. We ended up leaving this place 2 days earlier (booked for 3 nights) and we went on Airbnb and rented a fantastic apartment outside this area. It’s was great. Serious. Expedia, this hotel needs to be properly reviewed. It’s not a 8.8. It’s not even a 4 star. We asked for our $ back for the 2 nights we did not use. They said no. All we hope is that people chose other hotels. Clean up your act.

Dear Mr. Gillian,We thank you for booking our hotel, and we are sorry that your stay was not to your satisfaction.I remember that upon arrival, you asked to have an apartment instead of the two double rooms. Unfortunately, this was not possible as the apartments were already occupied.You asked to leave for two days and, despite the reservation being "non-refundable", you were told to contact Expedia to advise them of the early departure.We were then contacted by Expedia, and we granted a refund for the unused nights without any problems.We therefore believe we acted correctly towards a disappointed customer.

The hotel is at a great location. It's a very old property, so expect a vintage experience devoid of modern amenities and convenience. Having said that, due to it's location, you can conveniently reach here for a good night's sleep after walking the streets of old yet beautiful city of Venice.

Great staff, great location, good breakfast. However, our room was on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in Europe) without elevator service to that floor. This is not advertised and we had our 87 year old father with us. Was not good.

We stayed 4 nights at the Rialto in Venice and the location--right next to the Rialto Bridge was perfect. There is a vaporetto stop just outside the hotel. In a city in which you can easily find yourself happily lost, this was very helpful. Breakfast was included, which I look for to avoid the coffee search first thing in the morning. It wasn't great, but had some great choices--the pancakes were delicious-- but it was free and provided enough choices to get you started. Our room was a triple and surprisingly had all the amenities--safe, mini-bar, armoire---cleverly stashed within. The front desk is staffed 24 hours and they were very helpful and nice. Overall, I would recommend it!

Absolute gem of a hotel next to the Rialto Bridge. It has a roof terrace which overlooks the Grand Canal. Excellent room with ensuite. The team at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast Room is in 2 halves and again the team were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning

I stayed in a self catering apartment in Rialto hotel. Five stars facilities in the apartment, can not comment on hotel rooms. Breakfast average but filled my tummy.

A clean, comfortable hotel with very helpful and attentive staff. Very handy for public transport and attractions. Breakfast was good quality and tasty. A bonus was the panoramic terrace with a great view of the canal.and streets below.
