Great and safe location. Lovely breakfast. Moderate size room but their friendly staff work hard to make my stay enjoyable. There are lots of hotels of this size around but I've been coming back to Pera Rose since 2012 because it give me (a female) all what I need when traveling solo.

Some turkish lira fees are paid in euro
Services: I've requested some laundry, and i have signed the receipt with 5 Turkish liras, but upon checkout they have counted it as 5 euros, and when i requested a receipt they have mentioned it as extra charges, i think this is an act of a crime, to write prices in TRL and getting them paid in EURO. Staff: Staff are rude, we reached at 1am and they told us to wait, and showed them the booking receipt, the agent kept on telling us your name is not on the system, we have almost begged him to check our names but he kept on saying get back to your agency in a rude way, then we have insisted to check the names using our passports, he took our passport and found our names, then he said what are you waiting for? we said our room!!, the whole thing was flipped to 180 degrees, very disappointing, Rooms: Very very small, it was a double room for me and my friend and they gave us one bed its even smaller than queen size bed, then early morning we have booked another hotel for my friend, do they expect a room for 2 with this small bed.

We loved the location! We swam in the sea across the street then lounges in the balcony all night watching the crowds. Great place!

The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, they help you with your luggage, hotel taxi, explaining prices, where good touristy places are. the breakfast is good. room service good. i have no complaints what so ever. everything was great, from the bathroom (which i'm very fussy about, because i like it to be clean and the shower temperature to be hot) to the bedroom. closet space was good, tv was cool.

Pera Rose - November 2014
I spend 6 nights in Pera Rose in November 2014. Everything was really great. Staff are helpful and friendly, breakfast was good, room was clean and service was very good. The only thing abut the hotel was street noise on Friday nights (and only Friday nights), which made it impossible to sleep. One other thing was, even though I stayed in a non-smoking floor, the room still had some cigarette smell.

A wonderful experience
me an my two friends spent 3 nights at the hotel, it was a pleasent experience and I would recommend it to other travellers. it's a simple hotel that served our basic needs very well and matchd our budget. The location is great just a few minutes walk from the istiqlal street. also there is a taxi station with very reasonable prices just next to the hotel. the rooms are small, a triple room is actually a double room with an extra bed.. but it didn't reallu bother us. the breakfast is great in my opinion. the staff is very kind and helpfull.

The location is good 400m from the tunnel (1 station to get to Karakov tram station). The room view is bad. The room looks dark. small TV. Breakfast is good but it was the same for 6 consecutive days.

Great location at pera, close to istiklal street
Located near tünel (the tramway that takes you to karaköy) and sishane metro stations. A 10 min walk away from taksim square. Possibly the best place to live in istanbul. Good facilities, but the wifi may be weak depending on the room you're in so check it before accepting the room assigned to you.

Good staffs and cosy room are everything of a hotel. They did very well on that. The breakfast is great also. But the location is a little bit hard to travel in by metro.

Great Location - And That's it....
The hotel was a 2 minute walk to Istiklal street. The location was great but just outside were small restaurents which were open late till night and was really noisy.The breakfast was sub standard, the room was small, the bathroom sink was cracked, and the hand shower broken etc etc.. The reception staff were not helpful. There was no response to room service, no weighing scale or umbrellas were provided after request (even though there is a shop selling umbrellas in the next street). The worst part of the stay was that house keeping staff used the pay TV and also helped themselves to the refrigerator when we were out and I was questioned by the reception during check out. They did not even bother to apologise after accusing me of using these paid facilities which I had not used. I would rate this hotel 2.5 stars and would suggest guests to look for better options.

I enjoyed my stay in Pera rose for the second time after one year. Hotel staff were helpful , breakfast was amazing. i recommend this hotel for honeymooners and as a family hotel as well.

try not to spend much time in the single rooms
guests in single rooms may not want to spend much time in them -- the windows for all single/standard rooms face a small interior column, allowing some natural light to come in but no view of sky or city; there was also no chair or desk in my room, leaving only the bed for sitting; these two elements made it difficult to spend much time in my room; breakfast was good; the rooms seem to be getting worn down and tired and in need of renovation or upgrades, so i can not see this being more than a 3 star hotel right now

Pera Rose Hotel
I stayed in this hotel for four nights on my stop over on the way home. Exceptional location A +, good service, helpful stuff, great breakfast- a lot of fresh selections. Hamam - Turkish bath didn't work, but they have exchange privilege with next door hotel Pera Tulip, so I enjoyed spa at the end of the day in that location. Overall highly recommended especial for the very reasonable price which I got. If I will return, I definitely will stay there again.

We are very disappointed with the size of the room, as there was hardly any space to move around once we put our luggage down. The internet worked intermittently and we had to repeatedly ask for the router to be restarted. Every time we called the reception for something, we were told it would be done and then we had to repeatedly call again and were informed that they "forgot". This happened 4 times in the 2 days we stayed there. The only bright side was the quality of the breakfast.

Best location to stay and a nice hotel!
ParaRose is located in the Istiklal area right where u want to be staying. It is surrounded by gr8 shopping, bars, clubs, restaurants, etc. Front desk staff is awesome and speak English..were very helpful in planning & booking tour, call taxi, guide u, etc. While the hotel is right around nightlife, u don't hear any sounds in ur room & can have a gr8 sleep (unlike some other hotels where you can't sleep till 4 a.m.). I would have given a 5 rating but could not due to the following, which I think, could be easily corrected by the hotel Management: (1) there was lot of noise coming in from the A/C (water sounds), (2) I could not control the temperature from my room, though mostly it was ok (3) housekeeping staff was creepy. The woman came and knocked on my door quite a few times on day of my check-in. I told her that I was here but she would check again and again. That made me think if she was checking if people were not there and she could ..... (God knows!) and it also indicated the hotels housekeeping lists were not updated (4) windows were not sealed properly so I could feel wind chill coming in. (5) Breakfast was not good at all. Apparently it seemed there were a lot of choices but there weren't. Same things were repeated. It would be great to either have some turkish items OR at least add waffles, pan cakes and omelettes cooked to order. I want to thank the hotel Management and tell that I would again stay at ParaRose.

Pretty good for the price. There was not anything too exciting or outstanding, but it's very sustainable and a little above average. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and promt to your request. We were assigned to a room facing to the back, so it's facing to the wall of the building across. I bet the front is much better. The location of the hotel is very convenient, in between the new uptown (20 minute walk to Taksim square), and the galata bridge heading down to the older town, spice market, and grand bazaar (we made it to all these areas in one day on foot). Its 20 min walk up to the ferry to take to you Prince Island, a romantic town with bikes, horse and carriages. We stayed there 3 nights. nondescriptive, but fairly convenient, and great priced for the budget.

Enjoyed our stay
We had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent, it is very close to the Istikule (?) Ave (restaurants, clubs, shopping), Galata tower, and the historical peninsula. It is also walkable distance to the ferry to Asia side or Prince's island. Our room is quiet. The staff was very helpful. The only annoyance is that the housemaid did not provide tea bags, so we had to ask for it every night. But the staff was very willing to help.
