We arrived from the airport by taxi 90 min before check-in time. We’ve been asked to wait until 2pm. We spent next 30 min in discussions with management and with a help of our tour guide the room was made ready for us. We received a welcome letter and fruit plate after check in, what ever it means, because one night stay in this hotel was spoiled. The staff is friendly but does not speak English well. Our corner suite was spacious, but we did not figure out how to blind large windows. Water was leaking under the sink in the bathroom. The hotel did not offer umbrellas. We did not complain because of a language barrier. My room was beyond exceptional, and the breakfast that included was a decadent feast on the roof with a stunning view of Istanbul. In the heart of old town, you can walk all over and explore while you feel safe. As a woman traveling alone, this was very important to me. Their spa Was absolutely incredible. I did my first Hamman bath and felt safe comfortable, and pampered!
