This hotel was located in a good area. You can walk to the tram and shops plus to many of the historic sites. The manager and staff were so nice and accommodating. The decor was perfect for a hotel in Turkey. All the furnishings were authentic from the drapes to the furniture. From the rooftop terrace you could see the boats on the water and the beautiful sunsets! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Niles hotel. It is conveniently located for walking to the main attractions and is beautifully decorated and full of character. The breakfast is good and served at a delightful rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, which is also a great location for an evening drink. The staff really are excellent, very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel

Fantastic traditional small hotel Perfectly located within easy walking distance to all main attractions The hotel is well run with a beautiful rooftop terrace where breakfast is served in the morning and peaceful evening drinks are available at night The staff are very helpful and friendly I would definitely recommend this hotel

We enjoyed our 3 nights at this boutique hotel immensely. As soon as we arrived , we were welcome at the door, brought our luggage inside, as we checked in,we received apple tea. Our room was clean, the bed very comfortable and pillows were fluffy. Our stay included breakfast which was very good and with lots of variety. The rooftop patio is great at night for seeing the sunset and the waterfront. The waiter even went to get me a blanket and made me a special tea..what service!

A really lovely, unique hotel. Opulent Turkish furniture gave it a real sense of style and place. A great location for seeing the historic sights - 5 min walk to The Grand Bazar, 20 mibs or a cheap tram ride to The Blue Mosque etc. The hotel itself was in a quiet location -having breafast in the sun on the roof terrace watching the ships on The Bhosphorous, just great. Really recomend, a great 'find'

This hotel carries such a unique charm to it. With elegant and nostalgic decor and impeccable comfort and care. I always stay here when in Istanbul. To stay here is to be treated as an honored guest. I cannot recommend this hotel enough

My room came with option for breakfast which I recommend. This is a family run hotel with caring communicative staff who genuinely serve. I rated this hotel already but adding breakfast and day 3 night 4. I can’t compare but would stay here again.

Is not a luxurious hotel, but is close to many of Istanbul tourist attraction places. Also the service you get there is amazing, the front desk guys offer a 5 stars service, especially Ege ( I hope I remember his name correct), since we went to hotel they gave us city map and explained all city to us. Anytime we had to go out they explained to us which tram to take, which station to stop etc. We never had to pay for touristic guides and still visit all city, and this thanks to these amazing guys that work there.

The staff was amazing and friendly. Beautiful view from the rooftop lounge. Beautiful room and lobby. Close walk to Grand Bazaar and transportation. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The staff are so friendly and polite but the hotel is not clean at all. The area is so poor. If you are looking for a nice clean place please don’t choose this hotel even though the staff are extremely polite and nice.

Honestly this hotel deserves a higher star rating. They treat you like royalty. Their breakfast terrace is beautiful and the breakfast is honestly the best I’ve had anywhere in Istanbul. The double beds are really big and comfy. I have no complaints at all. And the grand bazaar is literally a 2 min walk from the hotel. I will definitely be back

Nice hotel close to the Grand Bazaar and transportation network. The taxi, however, could not get close enough to the hotel and we had to walk about half a mile to get there.

Thank you very much for your kind review and your very nice words.To avoid any confusion or misunderstanding, all taxis and licensed airport transfer vans are legally allowed to enter even the traffic restricted streets of the very center of the old city, like ours, and go all the way to the front door of the hotels, unless the car/taxi is missing a license or has an unpaid ticket/fine. You might want to check this before arranging your transfer with a yellow cab or a third party airport transfer service. (This is not an issue with hotel’s own transfer service)

We had a great five day break at the Niles Hotel. Good rooms with all amenities. Excellent buffet breakfast open from 8.00 until 10.30. Good location near the tram service to major sights. Most of all the staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. Recommended.

The room I got it was not the room I reserved and we’re trying to make pay more for it. And when I checked out I left my phone charger in the room and went back to the hotel they didn’t give it to me basically they kept it.

The service was amazing. Daily breakfast and the staff assisted us in navigating the city. The location was a 5-10 mins to major attractions such blue mosque and grand bazaar. I will be staying here again on my next visit.

This is a truly beautiful and unique hotel. With so much charm and attention to detail and also so comfortable and clean and enjoyable. I will stay here every time I come to Istanbul. The breakfast was delicious. The coffee, thoughtful consideration of my request and special care made me feel like a really important guest. I hope to return soon and stay longer

Wonderful boutique-ish hotel near great walking areas in the ‘Old City’ of Istanbul — The Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Istanbul University, etc. Nearby, easy on-and-off access to public transportation. So convenient! And the hotel staff was first-rate, friendly, helpful. Breakfast every morning on their roof-top cafe was the perfect way to start each day. And the view of the Bosphorus was excellent!

I had a fabulous experience at this hotel! I stayed for 12 nights so I did a lot of research into hotels and I chose the perfect place. The daily breakfast was so fresh and varied every day, didn’t get bored with the food at all and the breakfast area on the rooftop was a beautiful, clean and stylish area with amazing views of the water. Our room was graciously upgraded and the suite with the Turkish bathroom was divine. Room was so comfortable, with a mini fridge, microwave and kettle with tea bags and coffee packets. I LOVED that the hotel has water stations to fill up your water bottles and provided a bottle day one as well. The decor of this hotel was amazing, very old world and authentic and very clean. The outside area is very convenient-5 minutes to walk to the grand bazaar and most major attractions were within walking distance. Plenty of great eating options within easy walk as well. Felt safe walking back to the hotel late at night. All the staff was friendly and front desk spoke English very well so it was easy to communicate. I have NO negative feedback on this hotel, for the price, this is one of the best hotel experiences. I’m returning to Istanbul in the fall and I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Everything about our stay at Hotel Niles was wonderful. The room (junior suite) was lovely. The traditional decor was very tasteful and pleasing and the room was very good size. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the major attractions. The staff were all very personable and helpful (with most speaking English fluently) That's true from the initial check-in (when we were encouraged to sit and relax and served a traditional beverage after our hectic arrival at the hotel), throughout all of our many interactions over our 4 day stay, to help arranging an airport transfer as we left. The Turkish breakfast was great -- plenty of delicious things to try. We came to look forward to it every day. And the roof top lounge (where breakfast is served and evening drinks are available) was a very nice surprise for us. It is very pleasant and has great views of the waterfront. The only downside for us was that the restaurants in the area are all touristy, but that's a function of the hotel being so well situated in the old city. I highly recommend the Hotel Niles .

The Niles is centrally located to visit the majority of tourist sites in Istanbul. The staff are fantastic and I found them to be very helpful and courteous. My only negative point was the sound proofing of the room. My room was beside an emergency exit door and the street noise from it was quite evident. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Was greeted upon arrival by the most welcoming staff. The room was exactly as expected: clean, comfortable, and cozy. Breakfast was included and served until 11am, which was much appreciated as we adjusted to the time zone change. Just steps away from the Grand Bazaar, and walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the palace.
