It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. "Absolutely a Wonderplace. Extremely inviting and accommodating owners. The meals were extraordinary. Loved our stay. The evening drink on the deck was unforgettable. "Nice friendly check in, room was lovely with a nice view to mallaig. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the wine and lager ( a pint for less than £4 😁). "This was my first time staying in a hostel. It was very well set up. Easy to check in. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Our room was a bit noisy due to being beside the bathroom but they have rules to keep things quiet during night time hours.
