Our cozy cottage is the perfect mountain getaway, with plenty of space for small families. It features two comfortable queen beds, a twin log bed, twin log bunk beds, and a pull-out sofa bed. The setting is simply enchanting, nestled on just under a quarter acre in a charming neighborhood on the edge of the national forest. You're only a block away from the river with a convenient boat launch. The cottage boasts a small fenced backyard, complete with a picnic table, making it a great place to relax with your loved ones. You'll find a covered patio in the front and a fire pit in the back yard. Inside, you'll discover a full bathroom with a bathtub, shower, toilet, and sink with a vanity mirror. The master bedroom is in the loft and offers brand new luxury queen and twin beds, along with a small dresser and a clothes-hanging area. The second bedroom down the hallway features an equally comfortable luxury queen bed. Even in the loft, there's a toilet and sink for added convenience. Our well-appointed kitchen includes an electric stove and oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a countertop dishwasher, a 12-cup drip coffee maker, a Keurig, and more. A large full bathroom on the main floor also houses a washer and dryer. The living room is beautifully designed with new hardwood floors and features a super comfy leather chair and a brand new sofa sleeper that accommodates 1-2 guests. Although we have a cozy dining space for 2-4 people, there are also 5 TV trays available for convenient indoor dining, or you can choose to dine outdoors on the front porch or in the backyard near the fire pit, or at the new picnic table. The surrounding forest offers numerous outdoor adventures, including hiking, river floating, ATV riding, and more. We provide a trails map, and we recommend downloading one to your smart device for convenience. The river is just a short 5-minute walk away, and nearby, you'll find the must-see Johnny Sacks Cabin, a popular tourist attraction. For a day trip, Yellowstone National Park is a mere 35-minute drive away, offering hours of sightseeing and wildlife observation. If you're into geocaching, it's a fun activity on your way to various attractions. While staying in the area, we suggest visiting the vibrant town of West Yellowstone for shopping and dining, especially during the summer season. Island Park has a multitude of hidden gems to explore, and we have plenty of fantastic local suggestions that many tourists often miss. Please note that we do allow up to two medium-sized dogs, but puppies are not allowed. The second dog incurs an additional fee of $50 per day. We had a great time and loved the cottage. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and fly fishing. Teara was so helpful and Paige gave us some great recommendations for things to do and see while we were there. We really enjoyed the kayaking with Paige and Teara and would highly recommend it. Its layout was charming yet practical, and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked with everything needed for hearty winter meals.Our days were filled with wonder. We visited West Yellowstone and the captivating Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. When not exploring, we took lovely walks through pristine snow, marveling at the landscape’s frosty magic.A few tips: a vehicle with four-wheel drive is recommended, as snowplows aren’t always timely. Also, grocery prices in West Yellowstone are a bit higher, so planning ahead can help.All in all, the cottage was a warm haven amid winter’s beauty. These are my reasons for an Okay rating.There was an excessive amount of unsolicited emails before, during, and after our stay.The kitchen was a bit of a jumble, not leaving any storage space for our food and supplies.Many of the blinds in the house are destroyed. It looked terrible and reduced privacy.The 2 chairs in the kitchen are too tall for the table, so they aren't comfortable to use.The VRBO listing photos are not up to date. There is junk along the garage, hoses running around the yard, and a sprinkler left in the middle of the walkway. The fenced off area beside the garage looks like a junk heap. The backyard seating includes one camping chair, a couple bar height metal stools, and a broken picnic table. All good quality stuff. 4x4 wheeling country and close to: Big Springs, Continental Divide and path, Yellow Stone, 1959 Earthquake Lake. 7 different moose on the Henry river float. an elk grazing in a meadows, Henry Cabin and you might want to see one of the origins of the Snake River at Big Springs (1500 ft long water springs with 30" rainbow trout under the bridge) . Jun 18, 2022 #### Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, quaint! Staying in The Caldera Cottage was a dream! Very spacious, a good sized backyard, a grill! We loved staying here. Taera and Andy were so welcoming and willing to meet every need. The house was clean, well put together, and in an amazing spot. It’s far enough away from the city that you don’t have any interference, but not far enough away that you can’t go get the things you need. The beds are PHENOMENAL. I slept better on the beds there than I do at home! You know a company values their clients when they spend money on good beds and good pillows. The cottage is located near several very fun ATV/OTV trails, wildlife is aplenty, and the river is right around the corner. The atmosphere of the cabin and the surrounding area is so serene and calming. I quite literally did not want to come home. It’s also very child friendly! I have 3 children between 9 months and 7 years and they all enjoyed themselves the whole time! ##### Tiann S. Check-in was as easy as entering our code into the secure deadbolt. Location was a perfect place to end each day of adventures at Yellowstone.
