The location, on the Beach is perfect. The rooms are very clean, as are the grounds. The restaurant serving breakfast and all at the beach means you can spend all day on the beach beds, or take an easy walk to town for lunch or dinner. We had a wonderful time on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed dinners and music in the town on evenings . The staff at the hotel and especially the restaurant and beach is extremely helpful. Louis and Andrea do an amazing job keeping the restaurant food and beach area a wonderful daytime experience, as did Edwardo and Marcella making sure we were always happy w drinks, cocktails and smoothies and food. Freddy and Edwin at hotel reception were very helpful regarding room needs or transportation help. We have stayed 2 years now, and the hotel is perfect for us at a reasonable price.

Close enough to all the action of downtown by a 5 min walk, yet secluded and tranquil and quiet grounds when you want to be away from the hustle and bustle . Close to all dining. Absolutely PERFECT beach cove. Staff and rooms are perfect, clean and everyone is accommodating! Have stayed here three times now, once with our kiddo and she loves the pool and all the staff are so friendly with her. Super safe!

Not recommended
Great service!! Reserved and paid ocean view, and was not provided. Wifi was very bad in the room and restaurant. No tv. Air-unit too small. Property is not beach front as advertised there is a road between. The beach area has launches that belong to the hotel “restaurant”and you must consume in order to use them. In my opinion not worth your money.

The only thing that if it rains the water on the streets take days for it to drain out. And the taxi charge a whole lot to get around.

This is a lovely location beachside, with a short 10 minute walk to town for a wide variety of restaurants and bars and even music! The beach is perfect for swimming, and lieing in shaded lounge chairs. You do have to oder drinks and food during time at beach, as the seperate restaurant owns the beach lounges …or u can lay on your towel after swimming. Everything is very clean and well maintained, rooms are comfortable, a little small, and basic , but who spends the daytime in the room? And the price for a beachside room is great. We would definitely return.

Ideal for a family stay. More space than any of the other places on this stretch of beach, so the kids could play without bothering anyone. Beach itself was great - self contained and the waves not too big for the little ones shallow water for some distance. Restaurant was nice, but also a short walk to all that the town had to office. Would definitely stay there again.

This place is great. It is close to the center of town but just far enough from it to be nice and quiet. It’s an easy 5 minute walk. It’s clean, the staff was very friendly, and the grounds were impeccably maintained. Nice lounge chairs with permanent shade structures right on the beach. I will stay here again when I return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is top notch, especially Freddy in the front office. The wait staff is super nice. We moved to a different more expensive hotel to experience a more remote part of the island. We can say that hands down the staff at Puerto was better trained, more responsive and more experienced. We almost regretted moving. The rooms are perfectly fine, nothing fancy, but whoever designed them thought of important things like two bedside tables, separately controlled reading lights and a very comfortable bed. It’s in an excellent location- close enough to the town to walk to restaurants but far enough to be quiet at night. The beach club is also very chill- no loud pumping music. Lots of lounge chairs in the shade so you can stay all day. The beach is really nice too. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it. But it was very comfortable, clean, and the setting is gorgeous. We would definitely return!

Everything was wonderful. The personnel professional and friendly. Spacious and beautiful. Jose the waitress was very helpful and gave us good tips about the island. We wished we could stay longer!!!

Amazing hotel with easy beach access. We were fortunate to have a great view. They keep all areas well maintained. The staff is awesome. The restaurant exceeded my expectations. Definitely will look into booking here for future trips.

Excellent service from check in to check out. The rooms are very clean. Warm water available every day at all times for showers. The hotel is away from the louder/busy side of the island - so it was very peaceful. Their breakfast chilaquiles were amazing and the Velero restaurant drinks were great! Will be going back for sure.

Holbox vacation
Our second trip to this beautiful island Much has changed since our last trip 7 years ago but this hotel remained beautiful and on one of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches on the island. Fred the manager was wonderful, helpful, & professional. Can't wait to book our next visit.

Holbox itself was not a nice place to visit. Our room was nice. There were no amenities. No kayaks, no pick up from the ferry, not even ice. The restaurant is a separate business and they were very stingy with everything. Breakfast was included but it was terrible. They charged us for a second cup of regular coffee and cheese on the omelette. I would not go to this island or this hotel ever again. No wonder there was no one there. We left a day early and had to pay for the full reservation.

Nice small hotel right on the beach. Beach restaurant was good but pricy. Not fancy but comfortable in a good location. Water pressure low with slow drainage. Staff was very friendly and helpful! FYI ladies, they provide shampoo but not conditioner

This is a beautiful well kept hotel. We had an amazing view, the service of the restaurant/bar by the beach is great and the beach itself is gorgeous. Check in and out was super easy and the staff is super friendly. I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property! We loved the flowers and plants, the beach set up is very nice and comfortable. The food was great- we ordered from the bar one evening and had a free breakfast included which was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, especially Edwin and Diana.

Ok the hotel is beautiful, very nice. The only thing that they lied that beachfront view. I had no beachfront view. We also did not have a tv. Internet sucks but that is in the whole area. And one more thing the beach in the hotel property was full of seaweed. Thats a big no no for me.

Not a place to go back to.
All services, breakfast, etc were canceled for the COVID19, but not specified at the moment of the booking. The location is fine, as you can wal from the beach to all restaurants. In the process of reservation Hotel.com specified that 1 kid is for free and at the moment of check in is not. Internet was not working. It is clean and basic and when you wake up you can walk straight to the see. The photo of the beach is not real and the phone contact is of another property that manages both.

Beautiful hotel. Quiet, clean. On a great stretch of beach. Covid has the restaurant closed and beach chairs put away but it was still fabulous. Very friendly staff who kept area spotless.

We loved the room but there was no place to put our clothes and no chairs or table in the room to sit. Wifi was definitely iffy and rarely worked.

I loved the location of the property within walking distance of downtown and right on a beautiful beach. The morning breakfast was great and the view of the garden was incredible. The staff was great, helpful and very friendly. The only thing that was disappointed was the poor internet reception, however, I understand that the problem is common in most of the hotels on the Island. I highly recommend the hotel.

The sail beach covers are quite unique, but, it was the daily preeration of the beach and yard by the maintenance crew I was impressed with.
