my room was located in the Ocean wing but upon arrival the concierge went on about the Bay wing - it was very confusing. it is understood that English is NOT the spoken language but there was obviously some miscommunication about the breakfast plan that was purchased (upsell) - details were lost in translation. after the first day - room was not cleaned at all (no fresh towels, bed was not made and garbage NOT removed). the second day - bed was made, room was NOT cleaned, no fresh towels, garbage not removed and toilet paper not replenished - called down to ask if i could take towels from the carts left in the hall (the carts were left there well into the night). third and fourth days - regular room maintenance

We had a long stay and couldn't be bothered to leave the resort. While the beach was not as amazing as Kabira Bay or Yoneyama Beach, the convenience, the beauty, and the services made it hard to pass up. The sunrise pool and the night pool were both excellent. I wish they would have made it a foot deeper. The breakfast buffet was serviced by competent chefs with tropical fruits, omelettes, and quality baked goods. Once we upgraded to Saltida, and it was generally similar, with a few nice perks like fresh squeezed orange juice, but overall, the quality at the standard buffet was plenty, and I enjoyed the ability to order several egg dishes as to only once at Saltida. Perhaps my only complaint was the hotel minibar made it impossible to stock our own beverages, which for our 3 year old son, was necessary to stock to keep him satisfied between breakfast and dinner. There are some excellent restaurants near the ferry. I highly recommend going to Pizzeria il Trecorde which has excellent pasta and Italian style pizza. Hammock massage is just across from the entrance, a 3 minute walk, and offers an affordable and excellent service to work the pains out of your feet. The convenience store has a surprising amount of things you might want from beach balls to hats and charges a reasonable premium. The hotel a wide array of free amenities such as beach sandals which are a must if you forgot yours. Service is welcoming and prompt at the front desk and in the restaurants.

The beach and area around the hotel were beautiful. The hotel was well maintained, clean and presentable but needs an update. Would recommend staying in their Bay wing as it is the newer. The restaurants were ok but, overpriced compared to anywhere else we stayed at. We ended up finding a great local Izakaya bar near by and a noodle shop in town. Otherwise it was a nice stay, and the staff were very attentive and gracious.

What did we like? Cleanness. Hotel Staff Member Mrs. Lee and hotel office manager, who directly contacted us to ensure we had a pleasant experience during our stay. What did not like? No designated smoking area on property or in the surrounding area of the hotel property. Hotel patrons were required to walk at least 5 mins or more outside of hotel property location/main gate to smoke in an undesignated area in the local community, which was very inconvenient for customers.

Loved the new bay wing. We hadn’t booked this area but when the hotel mixed up our room request for the coral wing they upgraded us to a room in the bay wing area. This is brand new and really stunning. The room, pool, saltida restaurant and area surrounding this new wing is beautiful. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I must say though that they ocean and coral wings are quite outdated now and I think, considering the amount I paid, I would have been disappointed if it weren’t for the upgrade.

Many services were closed 'due to coronavirus', these included the sauna, gym, indoor pool and buffet breakfast. Finding out about the gym and sauna was particularly disheartening as it was one of our criteria for selecting this hotel, This was not mentioned when booking (including when we called before booking) and nothing was offered in order to make up for those missing services. For example there were no discounts on other paid services that were not closed. Staff seemed to struggle with increased service required due to removal of the breakfast buffet. Something management should have accounted for and put more staff on duty. I shouldn't be a struggle to get some toast or a coffee refilled. Cleaning staff also kept hosing dirt from the next door balcony onto our balcony. Not what I would expect from the ANA.

Good view and room condition. The private beach is superb. Though staff can only speak simple English but they are generally friendly, except one. A non-Japanese female staff who was working at the front desk at 23/1 night was rude to me. I was making an enquiry but she interrupted me with an impatient attitude and a facial expression full of loathe. Never again!

Could be better in many ways
Rooms are nice but only the ones with sea view, otherwise you will get the old ones, so upgrade is recommended. Amenities such as pools are a bit old and can be crowded , as well as the breakfast. Breakfast is very good and dishes are changed on a daily basis. Cleaning in the rooms was not good ...

Large room, clean, next to the sea. Breakfast is great, but the rest of the meals we had elsewhere - overpriced.

Awesome hotel!
Check in and check out was smooth and fast. All staff were very polite and friendly. Hotel has many facilities - 24h gym, indoor and outdoor pool, laundry room with easy usage and even a kids' room! Beach is natural and has full of hermit crabs! All my family members were able to see sunrise from our rooms!

Lovely clean hotel, super rooms, good facilities. Building a little dated but a state of the art new building is being built next door.

Generally the hotel is a little bit outdated but they maintain it very well. Their breakfast is tasty but there was a waiting time about 10-15 min to be seated. We went there in September and it’s a low season and the hotel was quite empty. I cannot imagine how long we have to wait during a peak season.

A sudden re-visit!
It was newly renovated and I love the decor a lot! Concierge service was excellent and helpful. Can’t wait the new wing to be completed to visit again.
