Lovely hotel with two beautiful pools and an excellent spa. Within walking distance of Ischia Porto and Pointe. Family owned and family orientated. The staff are delightful.

Very friendly service, lovely position surrounded by trees and great views over the Bay of Naples, Procida, Vesuvius at the height of the season! (See the film Avanti for meaning of this). Did not use Hotel beach as we always go to Rosetas on the Spiaggia del San Pietro, best lunch in the World! Some reviews complain about the slow lift, but this is Italy so no need to rush.

Really liked the hotel - friendly staff and a great location. Easy to walk from the hotel into Ponte (with the castle) and the main harbour (Porto). Bus stops are nearby so easy to get around the island. I had a good size single room with a nice view of the castle from the balcony. As with many hotels, it would have been better by having a kettle in the room so that in the evening, or if you're just relaxing, you can make yourself a cup of tea! I could have done with a more comfortable pillow as it was a bit flat. Breakfast was okay - it could have done with a bit of variety as there were lots of croissants and cake and a small selection of cereals and peaches with yoghurt. Again, mixing up the selection of cereals and fruit would be nice. However, nothing against the quality of what was provided. Nice pools - with plenty of sun beds throughout the door regardless of the time you went down (I visited in May). The spa was really nice with friendly staff. I would recommend their jacuzzi - very relaxing but it would have been nice to have had some soft music playing (music plays in the treatment rooms). I had an anti-stress massage which was a great way to start the holiday. Although the hotel could do with a bit of TLC such as painting the door frames, I wouldn't have any issues with staying at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Lovely, quiet hotel
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed using the outdoor pool as it was heated with our 15month old baby. We asked to change rooms so that the balcony was safer for her to play in, and that was no problem. The rooms are slightly dated, but totally clean fine! It is a 20 minute walk to the port or the castle area where you can find lots of places to eat. We didn’t eat at the hotel as the menu in the evening wasn’t right for our baby. Breakfast was fine tho. We had room 53, nice size, but the noise of the chairs from the restaurant was loud in the evening xx

If you have ever seen the film Avanti you will know what I mean. Get a sea view room and watch the sun come up over Vesuvio! We have used this hotel before so had no qualms about returning, it is great if you like the quirky Italian ways, so no worries about the slow lift etc. P.s. watch Avanti before you go, we spotted look alikes fo Carluccio, Bruno and most of the cast.

The hotel is very well located. A bit overpriced for the service that offer. The room was horrible noisy. The receptionist kindly accept my complaint and change the room. But his answer was not so nice, as he said it was my problem if I could not sleep, because the 5 engines down the room window. The spa area was very good. No wifi in the area where we were located. That is a shame for a 4 stars hotel, and mostly because was working in the main building.

Nice property with thermal pool a bit out of town
Nice enough place but it's about a Mile + walk from the dock. It might matter if you're walking. Glad I was travelling light. A warning to future guests, don't leave your patio door open to get fresh air in. The mosquitos will try and eat you alive. I killed four after they already bit me. No shower curtain, so hard to keep the tile floor dry and not break your neck with slippery feet. Pros: Breakfast included. They have two outdoor pools, an outdoor thermal wading/walking pool, and a big thermal pool indoors on the mezzanine level. The young woman behind the checkin counter. Beautiful Italian features.

Lovely relaxing stay
Lovely hotel, great surroundings, with 2 pools (one lovely quiet one). It is missing the finishing touches (e.g. panel missing in roof so the air con vents visible) but it didn't detract from the holiday. One of the staff members was very very helpful (sadly didn't we get a name). We could have easily stayed for a lot longer. Lovely massage in the spa too - definitely recommended.

Very Nice Surprise
Hotel Hermitage was an excellent place to stay for our day trip to Ischia Island. We seriously lucked out and got a wonderful room with a balcony that overlooked the bay with a straight view of the Castle. The beds of course are hard as rocks, but I've yet to be in a European hotel that they are not. In the end, I loved the place. It misses 5 stars for me only because of the bed.

Breakfast buffet was typical for Italy (lots of sweets,white bread, cheese, prosciuto and no really healthy options such as vegetables/salads) that I would expect from a health spa. Dinner was at fixed price, which was not posted, and turned out to be very high, while the service was overly pretentious (you get to watch the waiter scooping out peas onto your plate spoonful at a time) and totally not worth it. Pools outside were too cold, inside pool was warmer but small and not attractive space at all. For everything else they charge extra (sauna, turkish bath, bath robes). The people at the reception did not offer any recommendations on anything - things to do, places to see (except for the castle). The Island itself was wonderful. Next time we will just rent an apartment and cook ourselves.

it is a not a 4-star hotel!
Here are just a few problems with this hotel: - Front desk people barely understood English - We made an error and booked the hotel for 1 extra day that we could not use. -The hotel refused to refund the cost of one night. And overall the staff was unhappy to be polite and not accommodating at all. - The bed was as hard as rock with a big gap in the middle - The Internet did not work for 3 days and when it was fixed eventually it was extremely slow - Most pools were empty - The grounds were poorly maintained - The tennis court (the only reason we booked this hotel) was in very bad shape with rubbish all over - The guest parking is too small and was always filled even though we were there off season. For all practical purposes there is no parking This hotel does not measure up to an average 2 1/2 star hotel in the US

La struttura è posizionata molto bene. Comoda la piscina esterna e funzionale la Spa. Superlativa la colazione. Pranzo e cena lasciano a desiderare. Inoltre l'albergo richiederebbe una riattazione interna e esterna. Le camere da letto, quelle a noi assegnate, e i materassi in particolare, sono da rifare.

Die Pools und Gärten des Hotels sind wirklich schön und viele Sitzgelegenheit laden zum Verweilen ein. Grundsätzlich finde ich jedoch, dass das gesamte Hotel deutlich in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das merkt man am Mobiliar und dem Zustand der Sanitäranlagen. Der Duschkopf hing schief und war recht verkalkt, die Spülung der Toilette funktionierte ebenfalls nicht richtig. Die Dichtung der Duschtüre war nicht dicht, sodass unser Bad unter Wasser stand. An einer Stelle über dem Spiegel war Schimmel. Auch die Sanitäranlagen am "Hibiscus"-Pool sind alt, teils defekt und wirken nicht sauber. Die Preise an der Poolbar sind stramm für das, was man bekommt (Aperol Spritz mit viel Eis 9€). An einer Düse im Pool scheint eine Abdeckung zu fehlen und das Wasser wird mit ordentlicher Kraft angesaugt. Da sich die Düse auf Höhe des Rückens ist, kann das schmerzhaft bzw. für Kinder u.U. gefährlich sein. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist toll, es gibt verschiedene Baguettes, herzhaftes und süßes Gebäck, verschiedene süße/herzhafte Beläge sowie frisches Obst und frische Tomaten. Das Personal an der Rezeption war freundlich.

Soggiorno nel complesso soddisfacente, struttura dotata di servizi termali, ambiente pulito, molto luminoso, in buono stato di manutenzione; buona colazione con personale di cucina e ristorante molto gentile e competente. Bellissimo servizio di show Cooking sulle pizze montanare, veramente eccellente! Purtroppo penalizzazione per i clienti Expedia rispetto ad altri gestori (sottolineata più volte alla reception): camera nel 2’ piano seminterrato non servito da ascensore, assenza di altri piccoli optional… richieste piccoli supplementi per vari servizi…pulizia camera non soddisfacente (mi hanno appallottolato i vestiti da me ordinatamente riposti sulla sedia…)

2 dagar på Ischia, tyvärr i dåligt väder men hotellet är jätte fint med en härlig pool och litet SPA. 5 minuters promenad ned till byn som har några trevliga restauranger och fantastiska pizzor. rekommenderar detta hotell med en bra prisnivå. återkommer gärna.

Hôtel bien entretenu. Possibilité de se restaurer autour de la piscine. Personnel super sympa. Très bien situé, au calme mais proche de toutes les commodités. Chambres standards simples mais confortables. Le parking est un plus. Les soins au spa sont de très bonne qualité.

Il personale e stupendo sia delle pulizie alle camere sempre disponibili sia quello del ristorante anche sulla piscina tutti bravi I problemi sono i seguenti Io pago circa 400 euro al giorno x 3 persone mezza pensione ovvio che se vado in vacanza ad ischia la sera vogliamo uscire invece no la struttura ti obbliga a fare colazione cosi cosi e cena alla richiesta di pranzare ci è stato negato al punto che siamo andati via 5 giorni prima della prenotazione tutto assurdo tutto questo solo x che vogliono spillarti altri soldi mangiando al pranzo a pagamento X non parlare del parcheggio interno 3 posti riservati alle persone disabili il problema e che sono sempre occupati da auto senza il portatore disabile alla mia lamentela il portiere mi rispondeva domani vediamo cosa non vera x che il giorno dopo stessa cosa Ricapitolando Se vuoi cambiare dalla cena vuoi pranzare ti rispondono che il regolamento e questo solo che non sta scritto da nessuna parte Invece i posti disabili che esistono x legge x loro non rientrono nel regolamento Azz dimenticavo il trattanento di mezza pensione al costo di circa 400 euro giornalieri x una camera con 3 persone l’acqua si paga da parte 2 bottiglie naturale e gassata costano 6,60 che cosi possono rientrare i pasti che alla fine tu già paghi profumatamente X la cena non vi aspettate chissà cosa x che i piatti sono scarsi secondo me avranno paura che ne esci ingrassato

Gentile Ospite, la ringraziamo per il tempo dedicato a recensire la nostra struttura. A rettifica della sua inesatta esposizione dei fatti, specifichiamo quanto segue : - le bevande ai pasti non sono comprese come già specificato in fase di prenotazione e come in tutti gli hotel ( non villeggi ) - la prima colazione prevede ampia scelta di cibi dolci e salati, preparati dalla nostra pasticciera, frutta fresca, affettati, yoghurt, succhi, cereali, croissant, torte, quicke, frittate ecc. - la mezza pensione prevede prima colazione e cena con scelta tra 4 portate di primi e secondi, contorno, frutta e dessert, realizzati con materie prime di altissimo livello e sicuramente non dal valore commerciale di euro 6,60 ! - è andato via 3 giorni prima della data prevista e le sono state detratte dal conto totale pur avendo bloccato la camera per un periodo più lungo e tra l'altro di altissima stagione. Ci spiace non abbia apprezzato l'eccezione che abbiamo concesso relativamente al costo del soggiorno. - specifichiamo inoltre che la tariffa giornaliera da lei indicata non è quella realmente corrisposta, ma che ha esageratamente gonfiato il prezzo.
