This is a very beautiful but older property. Because it's an older property, there were no vents in the bathrooms and no AC. It did have a fan though and the beds were very confortable. On the downside, I felt the bathroom needed washcloths and body soap and the metal chairs in the seating area could have been nicer. I found the staff pleasant and helpful, the hotel beautiful, a perfect location and great for the price.

This is a lovely hotel in a convenient, safe location. Staff are friendly and helpful. We were disappointed in our room which was located next to the elevator on the 3rd floor. The only window in the room (outside of a small, high window in the shower) opened onto the hallway. Obviously people were waiting there for the elevator and it felt as if they were right in our room.

Really quaint setting with lots of vibrant colours and nooks and crannies. Staff were very helpful. Great central location with lots of interesting sights to see within walking distance. Loved the rooftop terrace. Every room seemed unique. We asked for a room overlooking the courtyard on upper floor to avoid the noise at night from the street and we loved it

This hotel is nice and located right near the center of the city. It’s clean and has very nice decor. The rooms are cute and well kept. Everything inside is very picture worthy so take your time going through the property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only issue was with the room charges and I feel everyone should be aware of this. When booking a room that sleeps 4 you get charged extra fees for “extra guests” even though you only have 4 guests. Room should be labeled as “sleeps 2 but can accommodate up to 4 with additional fees”. Be aware of this extra fee when booking. Everything else is fine.

This is in a very nice location close to everything but a couple of blocks away from the main action so quiet enough to sleep. Charming hotel.

No ventilation in our room. Noisy. We booked a suite through Expedia. When we arrived they did not have our reservation. Waited for hours only to be offered an inferior room. Good breakfast however.

Beautiful property, tiled, with meandering stairways and hallways. Nice artwork throughout. My room was large and gorgeous. But the neighborhood is quite noisy with yelling tourists, students and dogs barking. No hot shower but this may have been user error as faucets are not labeled.

I just loved this hotel ! In a city designed like an Escher painting this place is like a painting within the painting. It’s just fun walking around the place and enjoying all the art and artifact filled nooks and crannies . Spotlessly clean and well maintained it is also a center of music , poetry and culture for the city . Finally, the staff go well beyond the call of duty to be helpful . Five stars all the way !

My biggest quibble with my room is it had no chair. My room was very quiet but my friens room faced the street and said it was pretty noisy until late. This hotel is very quirky with a labyrinth if rooms, which means quite a lot of climbing steps.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the city. It feels very local and special. There is a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served and there is a rooftop patio as well. Some of the rooms have inner courtyard windows and some have windows to outside. Our suite on the 2nd floor had a wonderful window to the street with awesome views. It was noisy all night, but we chose to sleep with the windows open! All the rooms are different, so I cannot speak to what you might get. They could use some ceiling fans in the rooms. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Love this place. Spacious rooms and loads of common space. Unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate a short early check-in and had us wait till 3:10 to get in our room.

From the minute we entered the hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. The location could not have been any better we could walk to all the hot spots. The only one concern was some of the quests would slam the doors which was noisy in our room Thank you El Meson de los Poetas.

Interesting colonial style building with a lovely roof area. Breakfast was great, if the hotel is busy (normally) a buffet having fresh fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs and mexican specials. Filter coffee needs to be stronger though. The breakfast staff were amazing. Great location in the centre. Only downside was the occasional combination of the all tiled floors and selfish guests on the floor above, noisily moving chairs,and tables at late hours.. Would stay here again..

I asked for a heater they told me they didn’t have any. I called bc everyone else except me received a tooth brush and they said they will support me , they charged me when they didn’t charge the rest of the people. When showering the water will come out the shower. I called and they said they had a heater for me bc I was upset. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The staff was nice but overall not a food experience .
