We are just 20 mins from Loch Ness, under 30 mins from Fort Augustus and only one hour from Inverness and Fort William, with magnificent Highland countryside, ideal for walking/cycling/driving and amazing scenery. The space Balintombuie is a peaceful 5 bedroom rural holiday home located in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, in the hamlet of Dalchreichart, 15 miles from the banks of Loch Ness and 45 miles from Inverness airport. This large and comfortable house offers fantastic views of the nearby mountains and is surrounded by large green front and back gardens. The property benefits from a covered outside entertainment area, full outdoor covered BBQ and hot tub. The hot tub (Optional) is chargable for and additional daily fee. likewise the Gas BBQ. (Details on request) Stepping into this light and modernised home on the ground floor you will find a conservatory/sun room overlooking stunning local scenery, perfect to relax in after a long day of exploring local area and activities, a hallway leading to large and cosy living room equipped with log burner, 50” TV, blue ray/DVD player and board games, spacious and airy kitchen with dining area, fitted with integrated fridge freezer, oven, hob, washing machine and dishwasher as well as microwave, kettle toaster, utensils along with dining table and chairs, there is also a door leading from the kitchen to the back garden. Additionally, on the ground floor the property benefits from 3 double bedrooms as well as two bathrooms with fitted shower, WC and hand wash basin. From the hallway the first floor is accessed via staircase where you will find additional 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin) along with a bathroom with a bathtub and separate WC. Stepping outside to the front of the house, there is a vast garden surrounded by trees and greenery creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. To the rear there is a gravelled ample car parking area as well as and sitting area. Balintombuie is set within Dalchreichart and surrounded by forest. You can enjoy walking among the dramatic landscapes of the Great Glen and the lochside Fort Augustus, 15 minutes’ drive away. You can go skiing in the Nevis Range, which is around an hour’s drive away. Iconic Urquhart Castle is only 25 min drive away. The Isle of Skye is approximately 47 miles from Balintombuie, while Fort William can be reached in just over an hour by car. The house, property, and surrounding area are just wonderful. Fort Augustis is only 15 minutes away for shopping and dining. Our only issues were that we chose the cottage specifically because of the hot tub and use of laundry, however both the hot tub and the clothes dryer stopped working on us on our last day.
