The Downtown Apt! 10min from Convention Center

Summary:
Welcome to the Charming Downtown Indy Apt. We are located only 10 min to the heart of downtown. Enjoy your privacy. You'll have plenty of space to stretch out and lounge. The bedroom has a nice balcony where you can step out and enjoy. Lounge on the couch and enjoy the night on the couch in front of the Smart TV. A roll away bed is in the apartment for a third guest please notify us.

The Space:
The apartment is on the second floor accessible by a smart lock & has its own personal access to the balcony. So to all my guest with mobility issues There are 2 additional apartment's on the 1st floor we can accommodate you with. Just let me know. We're so happy to have you!
The balcony is shared with the apt across from yours making it a great option to join friends by booking both apartments.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is in the process of improvement, although it hasn’t fully recovered yet. While it may not be picturesque, it offers safety and tranquility. Most neighbors are friendly, including families and older residents. The apartment complex underwent a complete remodel in 2017.

You’ll find two nearby grocery stores: Aldi (6691 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46219) and Save A Lot (3739 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46201). Save A Lot is the closest, just a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute drive away.

The bus route conveniently runs along the cross street, with a direct stop only 2 minutes from the suite.

Parking is abundant, thanks to a specially designated lot right behind the apartment complex.

Remember that house rules strictly prohibit smoking, pets, parties, or events. Violations will result in fines ranging from $50 to $500.

Getting Around:
The bus route is on the main street two minutes walking distance from the Suite.

There's also an Enterprise car rental location within minutes of the apartment.

Other Things to Note:
As your host providing you with a great home to share your vacation with is my number one priority. I enjoy meeting great travelers that come from all walks of life. I welcome new experiences and work hard to provide the best for my family. I thank you in advance for allowing me to be a small part of your travel. Smells like cigarette smoke / Unusual communication with owner

Overall, the place is decent and looks like pictured. The two things I did not like are: 1. The space smells like it has been smoked in. 2. The owner asked me to take the trash out on my way out which to me is the equivalent of a server asking you to do the dishes after you've finished your meal at a restaurant. Additionally, they called me personally multiple times asking about a dent in the oven which I had no clue about since I have not used the kitchen at all during my stay except to put my drinks in the fridge. Also, the area is a little dicey, but chalk that up to me not being well-informed about the city. Just putting it out there for future guests.

Just one thing.

Your appliances did not work, the coffee maker doesn't drip, or heat. The stove almost caught fire. The smoke alarm went off for the whole time we tried cooking.

Bare Minimum

I understand the concept of getting what you paid for and that was very much the case here. Only 2 adults traveling, we were looking for something cheap and simple. The weekend we stayed, the temperature was in the low 20s. The first thing I noticed is the door in the bedroom out to the balcony was not weather sealed at all. From across the apartment you could see through the crack on the bottom and side of the door with no screen door or anything to prevent cold air coming in. There was not a single blanket provided other than the comforter set on the bed. We had to go bring our picnic blanket in from the car to be able to sleep it was so cold the 1st night. We also put our coats down to block the crack where cold air was coming in. It was nice to have somewhere to park other than the street but the little side road to get behind to park was so torn up I thought I was going to lose a tire and there was no salt put down anywhere with the side walk to get in being quite icy. We were instructed to throw all our trash out when checking out and when we went to do so, someone had thrown up all over the handle of the outside trash can. This place was sufficient enough for what we needed but definitely wouldn't stay again.

Very Basic

This apartment has potential if more thought was put into it. This is the best I can say. We had booked a two night stay and only spent one night. These are the reasons: No glassware other than 2 plastic wine glasses and 2 coffee cups. No dish towels. Very minimal kitchenware. No ice nor trays. Coffee pot that took over 60 minutes to brew. Food spilled and left in cupboards from previous guests. Three towels and ONE washcloth for two people/two nights. Nowhere to hang clothes in the entire apartment. NO blanket for the supposed “queen bed. I don’t recommend this apartment.

the sketchy area

We got to the property and found that it was in a very sketchy neighborhood. we were so uncomfortable with the area we didn't get out of the car. and when we tried to reach the property owners it took forever to get a response. We had to reach out to VRBO to get anywhere and even then VRBO would not do anything to help us out except talk to the owners. We were so disappointed in the whole experience

Close to downtown Indy. Free parking. Could have used a few amenities (box of tissues, markings on the shampoo/body wash/conditioner), an extra blanket, remotes for TVs (removed by last renters?)

Handy and thrifty

Location is up the street from a bus stop that goes directly down town (10 minutes). If you don't want to spend the dollars for staying and parking down town this is a worthy option.
