This beachfront property is big enough to hold your whole crew! Two houses -- "Salty Dog" and "Castaway Cottage" can sleep up to 16 people, located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. I am available any time by phone, text or email This cottage is located in the beach community of Indialantic -- the best surf on the Florida coast! A quaint beach community with a dog beach and two public beach parks with lifeguards within one mile. Many great beach shops, restaurants, parks - a quiet but fun area safe for the whole family. My wife and I purchased this property in 2018. We spent three months lovingly updating it with the finest in furnishings, but maintaining an intimate beach feel. This is a private retreat, DIRECTLY ON THE OCEAN, suitable for anything from a couple's romantic retreat to an entire family reunion. You will have full private access to the entire house, back yard, deck, hot tub and tiki hut, and private beach access. House #1 - Salty Dog \-------------------------- Welcome to “Salty Dog” - named after the old sea captain, this beautiful house directly on the Atlantic Ocean is decorated throughout with a nautical theme. With the breathtaking view of the ocean out your back door you will feel as though you are actually on a ship! Your journey begins as you drive up the private driveway lined with palm trees. A large front patio includes seating so you can enjoy the gardens. As you open the front door you enter “The Bridge” – a spacious open living room – and see the ocean in your back yard! This room features the “nautical wall” with authentic antique artifacts, including a ship s wheel recovered from a shipwreck in the Key West area. Here you can “take command” of the remote and watch your favorite programming on the 65” OLED TV with surround sound. On the other side of the bridge is the fully equipped kitchen and dining table. The kitchen features all appliances and tools needed for full meal preparation. Ample cabinet space holds dishes for your whole crew, while the wet bar area provides more a large variety of glassware for your thirsty “mates.” On the “starboard” side you will find the “Captain s Quarters” – a huge master bedroom befitting a captain. Your private quarters includes a Tommy Bahama plush king-size bed and private TV. Walk over to the luxurious gliders and enjoy the gorgeous ocean view out the two large picture windows. Enjoy a glass of wine, or brew yourself a Nespresso coffee in the nook. The “Porthole” provides a spacious en suite full bathroom, including an oversized walk-in shower. Passing over to the “port” side of the house you will enter the “Gangplank”, offering a second full bathroom (the “Head”) and a full-size washer and dryer. After “walking the Gangplank” you will find yourself in the “Crow s Nest” - another large bedroom that can comfortably sleep up to seven people. A great retreat for a second couple, or for kids wanting their own place to hang out! The back yard and beach can be accessed by two sets of large double doors in the Bridge, or the private door in the Captain s Quarters. Open these doors to experience the exquisite ocean breeze and hear the crashing waves. On the Deck you ll find plenty of seating for your whole group, as well as a new Jacuzzi hot tub that seats six. The beach shed provides beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, beach bag, boogie boards and a cooler, all available for your enjoyment. There are also beach lounge chairs at the tiki hut deck conveniently by the beach access for your beach pleasure. Stroll on out to the private tiki hut, where you can sip your beverage and enjoy the surf from the comfort of the shade. You can even access Wifi from here – check the ocean tide schedule or weather to plan your beach walk – miles in either direction! For a short walk, the very popular Paradise Beach is just to our north. For a longer walk, go two miles south to find Indialantic Boardwalk and Beach. The beach in front of our house is perfect for bathing and surfing – a gradual, shallow beach with no rocks but plenty of surf! Salty Dog can accommodate up to 10 people for sleeping: \* Captain s Quarters (master bedroom): 1 king bed \* Bridge (living room): 2 queen sleeper sofas (with upgraded gel mattresses) \* Crow s Nest (second bedroom): 2 full beds, 1 twin trundle, 1 queen Murphy bed (with upgraded 7” gel mattress) While Salty Dog is a true “Old Florida” beach house, it has recently been fully redecorated throughout, including: all new furniture (includes some antiques) all new TVs (including OLED in the Bridge) all new high-end kitchen furnishings all new hurricane-rated impact doors and windows hand-crafted driftwood signs over each room (made from unaltered driftwood – other than the letters! – pulled from our beach!) coffee table and dining table designed by us and hand-made using wood from the former Jacksonville Pier (which was destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017) House #2 - Castaway Cottage \------------------------------------- Welcome to “Castaway Cottage!” Your journey begins as you find yourself marooned on an uncharted island. As you enter the palm-lined driveway you discover a small cottage – perhaps left behind from a group previously stranded here? It looks as though they gathered things they could find on this island to construct a cozy and comfortable living space. The main living space of the cottage has a hand-made driftwood sign with the name “Crusty Crab.” In here you find a brand-new fully equipped kitchen (maybe a ship carrying kitchen furnishings dropped some of its cargo?) with all the appliances and dishes needed for fixing meals. It also appears that a beautiful large sofa washed ashore, and it contains a queen-size sleeper. Somehow these clever folks also found a brand new 55” OLED TV to keep them occupied during their stay on the island. Down the hall you find “Coquina Cliff” - a full bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Apparently these previous guests found some clever way to get running water from some hidden spring on the island! In the back of the cottage you find two bedrooms. One bears the name “Coral Cabana.” Here you find a “tree house” with beds to sleep up to three people, along with wall decorations that some previous guests must have found on the beach. The other bedroom is aptly named “Coconut Cove” – the queen-size bed is surrounded by decorations featuring coconuts and palm trees, including a TV in the hidden palm cabinet. While this amazing little cottage does not have a direct view of the beach, it is located on the beachfront property. By following a private trail on the north side of the other house on the property you may walk directly onto the beach (without crossing any road). The beach shed near the path contains beach items for your use, including beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and boogie boards. \---------------------------- While you are “on board” at Salty Dog and "Castaway Cottage" we encourage you to enjoy some of the MANY fine dining and entertainment opportunities in the area, including: \* Orlando attractions, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World (just over an hour drive west) \* Kennedy Space Center (one hour drive north) \* Cocoa Beach Pier and Ron Jon s Surf Shop (15 minutes north) \* Brevard Zoo \* Indialantic Boardwalk \* plenty of shopping opportunities at Melbourne Square mall and Town Center at Viera (both about 15 minutes away) Once you book your stay we will also share with you our list of “favorites” in the area – best restaurants and shops you won t want to miss! The homes were pleasantly decorated and stocked with all the supplies we needed. The hot tub and tiki hut were icing on the cake. The owner was professional and communication for check in was timely. We rented both houses. The pink house is very updated and had everything we wanted:. Great house, great view, great yard, and tiki hut right on the beach! The blue house was not as updated, but worked well to for extra bedrooms. We had a very comfortable stay and the owner was easily reachable for any questions or concerns. Indoor space was bigger than I thought by pictures. Outdoor space provided plenty of room for us to spread out and play or bunch up and enjoy each other’s company. The decor was 1st rate as well as all the necessities of preparing meals and celebrating for an entire week. What a great location, great owner (always very responsive) - great experience for all. We had multiple families between the two houses and had plenty of space/were very comfortable. The pink house is just gorgeous with amazing views, everything was beautifully decorated. The blue house is smaller and more dated, but very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We would 100% rent this property again, we absolutely loved it! We practically had the beach to ourselves each day and being able to walk out your back door onto the beach was just perfect. Also loved the tiki hut! Steve was an amazing host and very responsive. The location was amazing, the proximity of the property to the water can’t be beat... the photos don’t do it justice! Even though we didn’t have a lot of great weather for the beach we enjoyed collecting shells, sitting out in the tiki bar, and listening to the waves crashing at night. The house was fully stocked- more than any other rental we’ve stayed at before, which made us feel right at home. It was exceptionally clean which was greatly appreciated (especially in today’s climate). We made wonderful memories at this property and hope to come back another time soon. ##### Nicole D. We visited with Corona viruses and with everything closed allowed us early check in! Very comfortable and accommodating for 13. This was truly a special time to be with our family and will never be forgotten. We renewed our wedding vows in front of our very small party of 20 friends and family. Our good friends own a restaurant just down the road on A1A so we were able to move the festivities there to enjoy our time together even more. The homes were immaculate when we arrived. Both indoor and outdoor furniture was really comfortable. The master bed was also very comfortable (didn’t try out any other beds, but everyone was very happy with their rooms.) We all loved the tiki bar. It was a great place to have our coffee and watch the gorgeous sunrise. The sand chairs and lounge chairs for the beach were high quality. Both homes are decorated adorably. I can not think of anything negative to say. We were even treated to a great view from the beach of a SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral. I give this property my highest recommendation. Apr 2, 2019 #### Perfect location on the beach Wow what a location along Florida's beautiful Atlantic Coast. We rented both houses with 12 (7 adults 5 kids) and everything worked well for our family. The houses are outfitted with quality new everything and my kids really appreciated the boogie boards for the water. As an adult I enjoyed the beach umbrella and lounging chairs. Plus the hot tub was a great warm up after time spent in the ocean. We all slept comfortably in both houses and cooked and ate in the larger pink house as a big family. I also appreciated the "one level" and tiki hut for my elderly father as it offered a perch for him to view the grandkids and beach activity. He also made it to the beach a few times to put his feet in the sand and feel the tide roll in. Thank you Steve for this wonderful location as it served our family well. ##### Karen S.
