To describe this place as refurbished was ridiculous. Old, tatty, grubby, worn, unloved would be more accurate descriptions. A part of the bathroom wall was actually missing where a tile had come off, leaving a hole in the wall big enough for a family of rats to come through. It was game over for me when I sat down on the bed and a giant cockroach scurried across the floor from under it. I know the management keep saying they’ve just taken the place over but the only decent thing to do would be to shut the place down, thoroughly defumigate it and completely refurbish the place before subjecting anyone else to the painfully poor standards. This was one of the most uncomfortable nights I have ever spent in a hotel. Bring in the exterminators immediately!

Nevertheless, we've been putting hard work and effort to revitalize this hotel. Renovations to our rooms have started. The place will 100% different, and it will look nice and new. Checked in very late and had to wait for the maintenance man to come and do the check-in. First room had not been cleaned. Second room was in poor shape. Shower head squirted all directions. Checking out, no one was in the office (8 am). Won’t be staying here again.

Definitely not what it used to be. Doors didn’t close all the way. There were roaches and bugs everywhere. Flies. Holes in the walls or bathroom doors. Just over all terrible.

We slept in our car that’s how bad the property was. There were live bugs crawling around and dead ones too. Gave us the heebie-jeebies. Wasn’t expecting the best for the price but was expecting something decent.

Convenience vs confort
The motel was closest to the airport. That is the only reason it was chosen. We had no car. The Beds were very comfortable but the positive stopped there. The drapes we not very connected to the rod. We usef hair clips to create privacy. Coffee was provided, but no cups. Towels were scant. Burn marks on the ceiling. Very strange. Smoke detector was hanging off the wall. We unfortunately booked a night to be near the airport for the return flight. At least the a/c worked. no continental breakfast as advertized.

Cheap but don't expect much!
We checked in, the the girl at the desk was pleasant and made sure we had a downsairs room..but it all went downhill from there. Got settled and was told the jacuzzi didnt work,she said probably an expensive part. Remote didnt work even thpugh she tried several remotes. Stuck with the news chanel. T.P. holder is broken and i had to change lights to have a working one by bed. Dir had been broken into but jam repaired but not painted. Dead bolt didnt work,curtain off rods,mattress needs to be filped with feet at head because it sonks at your head. Went to use pool this morning and it was locked. Girl said she'd open but didn't come,I went back she said I have some stuff to finish so obviously I was NOT a priority. When she did come out she said its closed so I can't open it. Coffee maker was lg ,nice no basket. The only thing I can say is its clean and the girl at night did the best she could.

Very dirty facility. Overflowing garbage cans: 2 @ the top of the stairs and 2 more in an open walkway. The garbage is not only spread all over in an extremely unsightly manner, but it stinks! The room itself was as expected: dated and in relatively worn condition, but we had reserved a “suite”, and what we got for our extra $$ was a bit of a sitting area around what might be called a kitchen. It included a table and 2 chairs, a microwave, mini fridge, mini sink (!), a countertop approx. 4 ft long and for some reason, an off-center range hood. No range-just an old hood from a time long ago, I’m guessing. Upon checking in, the woman at the front desk was very friendly and doing the best she could to figure out what was meant by “suite” in our reservation, and trying to determine which room might be ready for guests, even though we were checking in at 4pm-exactly check in time and there were no other guests in evidence. However, the man at the desk when we checked out offered a receipt, which i accepted. The receipt showed a different amount than i paid, and the last 4 digits of a credit card i don't have. He explained that since we reserved through expedia, it wouldn’t have the actual information that applied to my transaction with expedia.The purpose if this “receipt” is what then?? I could just get a real receipt from Expedia, no? Why would he have offered that meaningless piece of paper??? He seemed angry with me for asking such a stupid question. Skip this place.

Shocking condition. I’ve stayed in the past pre COVID and it was passable. Now it’s simply an old school roach motel. The room hasn’t been cleaned, let alone deep cleaned. Paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, dirty bed covers, hairs on the towels. Complete indifference from the staff.

This place is absolutely disgusting. I checked in, got to my room and ran out of there asked for my money back and left! There was seeman stains all over a black chair my bed was partially made the walls were peeling off the lamp shades broken the floors so disgusting ! I never been so grossed out in my life !

Most of the room was clean and acceptable, my biggest issue was spider webs and spiders as I have a huge fear of them. I should have called the office but it was late in the evening and didn’t feel like bothering them. All the cleaners have to do is look up and they’re easy to see. Please pass this on as it’s a great place to stay when flying out of El Centro.

When entering our “non smoking” room we were instantly hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. The first thing we see when we open the door is a large cockroach 5 feet from the door inside the room. There was no trash can in the room anywhere for some reason. There was no hair dryer. There was coffee and filters but no coffee maker. There was no towels in the room to dry off after showering(only one hand towel and a wash cloth). The shower had black mold all over it and one of the handles to control the shower had fallen off. All the pillows on our beds were nasty and yellow in color. The chair and lamp shades were covered in unknown stains. The cover on the air conditioner kept falling off. All in all this has to be one of the worst kept hotels I have ever stayed in. I understand mistakes happen and things get forgotten ie: the towels and coffee maker but the overall condition the room being unsanitary and completely run down was honestly disturbing.

After a long day driving we arrived a little before midnight and walked up to the office and was greeted by a locked door. I rang the buzzer for at least five minutes and no one came so I called your number (hotels.com). Of course it took a while for me to get a live person while I was speaking with that person a young lady showed up who obviously I had awoken and checked me in. While checking in I ask what time the continental breakfast was and she just laughed at me and said they didn’t have one. We were in the area this time last month and booked a motel six through your service which was way nicer but decided we’d pay a little more and stay at a Rodeway Inn especially since it had a continental breakfast. I asked for a room on the first floor and she said they didn’t have any so we had slept for luggage up the stairs and when we arrived at the room we were greeted by the curtain falling off the wall, a disgraceful room , a bathroom fan that so noisy one woke up their partner while using the facilities in the middle of the night and the bathroom five bulb fixture with only one bulb. I cannot wait to get out of this place

Rug needed vaccuming, a.c is old and not working well. Wall electrical sockets looked old,y room had an extension with many plugged in. Toilet water was turned off and when I turned it on obviously had a leak and was noisey. Water faucet had a real slow flow. Basically major remolding is needed!

PET fee Controversy
The website advertised 10$ per night for a pet fee so I gladly made and paid for a reservation. To my surprise the desk clerk increased the rate to 30$ for the pet fee upon arrival. After some back and forth the clerk agreed to refund the 20$ and charge the advertised price.
