Totally relaxing stay, lots of outside areas to enjoy the sun, especially liked the tranquility zone. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. We had a premium room and whilst it wasn't the largest room we've stayed in, the facilities were all that you would need. Balcony had sea views and was a pleasant space to enjoy a drink or just read. The public beach is about 15 minutes walk, nice beach, but it was very crowded and the hotel grounds and pools were much preferred. Dining options offered something for everyone, breakfast was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
We will certainly consider returning to this hotel.
We have just spent a week in the Europe Playa Marina... On arriving the worst problem was the parking, I hate to think what it would be like in July/August.. The entrance and reception were lovely very modern and we thought what a lovely hotel. But on inspection of the rooms, well they were a bit tired... we asked or rooms together and they were off the main floor down a small corridor, opp the rooms was a serving door that the cleaners used it wasnt even painted and the overall appearence of the corridor was scruffy... The room was very clean and the bathroom was modern but the painting in the room needed updating.
Outside the area down to the sea was beautiful.. with large platforms giving privicy at various levels down the rockface. the view was spectacular from the dining room, the bar and the rooms and couldnt be faulted. The food at breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to keep gong back for more. The Gym was basic but ok. overall the hotel was a good experience....

We arrived and were pleasantly surprised to get a welcome drink on the house. Despite one night without air conditioning which made it difficult for my girlfriend to sleep, the room was clean and relaxing, with a great view onto the pool. The pool is good with sufficient sun lounges to relax on as well as a raised terrace where you can have a look at the sea.

Roc Illetas is a large hotel spanning over four different blocks. We checked in to a room with its own, large, private sun terrace, right on the seafront with an amazing view. However, sadly, as this was in the oldest of the buildings, the air conditioning did not work. After a bit of toing and froing we were moved to a more modern room without a view and the following day moved again to a modern room with a view, albeit a much smaller balcony and set back from the seafront. The hotel generally feels clean and looked after, although there are finishing touches and details such as sealing around the sinks, which have not been completed. The communal areas are generously sized with plenty of areas to tuck yourself away, both inside and out. Despite a large number of guests it did not feel busy and service was always prompt. The swimming pools and sun lounging areas have wonderful views and there is direct access into the sea if you're feeling brave! The outside areas also include pretty stone steps and hard landscaping, towering pine trees and tropical palms. The food was fairly standard, with a good selection at the breakfast and evening buffets although the quality was much the same as a quick freezer meal at home. The town itself is very quiet, with a couple of beach clubs and a local public beach (which does get quite busy). The whole area feels as though a lot of money was invested a few years ago so there is modern architecture, styling and facilities.
Very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All staff were very helpful, customer service excellent. Hard to find fault with anything. However, this is not a sterile corporate chain hotel, it like staying at the home of an old wealthy relative which is decorated with the art and furniture they like and have collected over the years. However, that is the charm of the place. I would stay again.

The hotel was excellent. In terms of presentation, helpfulness of the staff, facilities and location it could not be faulted. Everything you would expect a 'German' hotel to be.
We ate lunch in the Chumbo pool bar most lunchtimes and a couple of evenings during our stay and the food was always of an acceptable standard. Plenty of options for the kids with respect to activities and the crèche service was an excellent touch.
All in all a pleasant stay in a well run hotel / resort
The staff were welcoming on arrival but we asked if we could get a snack and no one came over with a menu - we had to go and ask the receptionist to get the bar staff for us. On one occasion we asked for a snack by the pool on a rainy day and we waited for about half an hour for a menu then gave up and went out. Sometimes if you arrived to breakfast there were no tables available but the breakfast was very good choice.
The room - it wasn't clear from booking on Expedia that the Eco Rooms are in another building across the road to the main hotel. We did get upgraded to the best Eco Room when we arrived for the same price which was very good. Although we did ask if we could get a room in the main hotel when we realised the buildings were separate but no one called back at all that evening. We then asked the next day and they did find us a room which we declined in the end as it was much smaller than the one we had. The Eco rooms are under the road and are by the gym and spa area and the underground garage. To park in the hotel costs 12 Euros per day.
