The sandy beach of “Agia Marina” is accessible from the Villa in walking distance and in a 10-minute drive from the beautiful beaches of “Kourouta” and “Skafidia” (marked with blue flag), the medieval castle in “Kyllini”, of great interest, the protected Natura “Kaiafa Lake "and in 40 minutes distance by car, the tourist port of “Katakolo”. In the village of “Douneika” going on foot in 10 minutes, the visitor can obtain food supplies from the mini market for the everyday needs and fresh fragrant bread from the bakery and In the case of a need for medication, a drug store is available in the village. Within 10 to 15 minutes by car to “Amaliada” and “Pyrgos” direction, one can find many supermarkets, shops, restaurants, taverns and hospitals. The Villa is surrounded by a garden 35000m2, was built in 1893 and has been declared a historic monument by the Ministry of culture. On 2004 ended the building restoration with all modern standards. The building consists of two floors. The first floor has an office whose windows come in a very large terrace overlooking the sea and around the garden, two bedrooms one of which has a balcony with views of the sea and the other window with views of the sea. These rooms share a bathroom. The master bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden and the mountains, and the bathroom that comes out to the terrace. The ground floor consists of two bedrooms with French windows with access directly into the garden and pool view, two bathrooms, living room with double sided fireplace with living room in front of each side, dining room and a corner office. There is also a kitchen fully equipped, that communicates with an extra dining and living space (a covered patio), with panoramic views of the garden and the pool. The garden is so designed as to provide security for residents. The land is fenced everywhere and furthermore covered by plants and trees around guaranteeing full privacy from neighbors. The home embraced by 9000m2 lawn with flower beds full of flowers and plants and the combination of blue water of the swimming pool, the green grasses and the smells of flowers give the impression to the visitor that he is in Heavenly environment. The Orchard, a few counts more away, causes to try seasonal fruits, and if feeling tired may rest for a while under the shadow of towering trees, can also if need to meditate to visit the picturesque Chapel of “Agios Fanourios”. If you still want to take care of the physical training health, in addition to the 18m length pool and 3m depth, near the diving board, there is also the tennis and the basketball court, where can be practised which hour of the day you like, even at night under the headlights. Before swimming in the pool, and afterwards, one can take a shower using either one of the two bathrooms located in the space next to the garage and near to the stadium. You may also visit the vineyards and taste the delicious wine of the estate besides the wonderful oil of premium quality, produced from the olive groves of the estate. The resident will become even more comfortable with the care and help of the staff living discretely in a separate house nearby. The evenings can be enjoyed under the starlit sky-lit pool next to a fabulous meal with baked in BQ and then have a drink before sleeping in a cool gazebo. If there are privately owned or rented cars the garage provides two secure parking locations. The house is close to lots of beaches and supermarkets and the children spent hours in the best pool we have ever used. The on site housekeepers are super helpful and kept the house spotlessly clean and helped with any issues we had. The air conditioning was a blessing at night in the warm summer heat. We would definitely recommend this villa to any family looking to explore this quieter part of the Peloponnese. A wonderful 2 weeks. ##### Louise H. Built in 1893, the villa is spacious, impeccably renovated, air-conditioned, and furnished with style; the adjacent pool house is cozy, the giant pool just wonderful even with natural shade for the sunbeds around noon. Several terraces for different views and hours (sea view above the trees; incredible sunsets!). The underground garage keeps your car quite cool even during the heat of the day. Pick your own fresh fruit from the orchard for breakfast, enjoy the vast carefully manicured green garden, play tennis or Basketball at night (floodlight) or simply relax. The caretakers living on the premises in a separate building do an excellent job with the garden, pool and house and are very helpful with everything (thank you Katja!). It makes you feel like a landlord on your stately estate - "Otium" like an aristocrat at your villa in the countryside in ancient Roman times. Situated in a rural quiet area with mostly local Greek summer tourists, it´s only a short drive or walk (less than 1km) to a choice of marvellous not overcrowded fine sandy beaches (our favourite: Belvedere) and many cozy Greek tavernas, but you might also prepare dinner in the villa yourself. For the cultural minded, nearby ancient Olympia and the medieval crusader´s castle Chlemoutsi will be a must-see; the Kyllini peninsula is a very scenic hilly area; even a day trip to the islands of Zakynthos or Kefallonia is an option. The owner Mairy, a decent elegant lady from Athens, is professional and fair (rental Agreement), polite, friendly and accomodating, welcomed us in person upon arrival, explained everything and kept in touch as needed for making our stay so enjoyable.
