Modern boho-chic cabin w/views & A/C Scout's Hideaway is nestled at the end of a quiet road, surrounded by tall pine trees. With a forested backyard and a deck perfect for sipping coffee, you can enjoy sightings of deer, bluebirds, woodpeckers, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and lizards. Despite the peaceful seclusion, Idyllwild’s town center and hiking trails are just a 6-minute drive away. This modern but vintage cabin features two spacious bedrooms—one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The cozy living room opens onto the deck, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor space. The fully equipped kitchen comes with coffee and tea to start your day. In the evening, light a fire in the wood-burning stove, unwind with a glass of whiskey or wine, and enjoy the sunset from the deck. Designed as a tranquil retreat, Scout's Hideaway offers games and puzzles for entertainment, but no TV. Feel free to bring your own device or ask us for our projector for streaming. While WiFi is available, this is the perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING: This vacation rental is equipped with a mini split air-conditioning unit. \-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund plus a $150.00 cancellation charge. No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January. \- Pets: We do allow dogs; however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. Bringing more than one dog requires prior approval and may incur additional fees. Other pets may be considered with prior approval, and a flat per-stay pet fee may apply instead of the nightly fee, depending on the property and length of stay. We just wanted a peaceful getaway in the pines, and that is what we got. Beautiful, quiet area. But be warned--please follow the directions given by the office; don't follow Google maps directions, especially in the dark. They will lead you astray. The cabin, while not super-modern, is very cute and has the conveniences needed (unless you're looking for a TV--but why would you want that?) Living room and dining room area is comfortable, and there is a nice deck to sit and look out and breath the wonderful air. There is a portable AC unit, but during our October stay, the only thing I used was a fan in the bedroom. If you have trouble navigating stairs and have to get up at night, be warned that you'll need to go downstairs to the bathroom. But there is good lighting on the stairs for any nighttime journey. I would say that perhaps check-in paperwork could have been handled at least partly in advance, especially for late check-ins. It was not a problem in our beautiful weather, but on a very cold night, filling out paperwork outside in the dark could be a cold business. But communication with the office was very easy and accomodating. ##### Nancy H. Love that it's per friendly. Very cozy and serene. Location was great, at less than 10 minutes from Idyllwild. Burning wood for heat actually resulted in the house getting way too hot, so be more judicious than youight think with wood. To heat all night starting at like 4pm, we only needed 6-8 logs. Check in process was slight cumbersome since you need to go to the office first and when returning the key. Aside from that, it was great and we'd like to return. ##### Joseph B.
