A charming cabin on the creek walk to town with spa "Almost Heaven" is a charming cabin located on Strawberry Creek, just a short walk from town. The original cabin, built in 1923, has been expanded to four bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it perfect for families or groups of friends. The spacious yet inviting interior features a grand room with a brick fireplace, handmade vintage cedar furniture, and a 65” smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen includes a cozy gathering space with a Franklin stove and a coffee bar. Outside, the back deck overlooks a grove of trees and a seasonal creek, and features a jacuzzi and a 12’ cedar picnic table. The cabin also offers a washer/dryer, a barbecue, and a front porch to enjoy the morning sunlight. Bedroom #1 - King bed in a very large room with a cozy sitting area, jack and jill bathroom shared with Bedroom #2 The 3rd bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower is located between the grand room and the kitchen. Bedroom #2 - Two double beds with jack & jill bathroom shared with Bedroom #1. Bedroom #3 - Queen bed with a rustic pine frame and cozy sitting area, also deck side (note: the bathroom is accessible through Bedroom #2 or off-deck, through the kitchen) Bedroom #4 - King bed and private bath that looks out onto the deck. The exterior deck is massive and such a great place to take in nature of idyllwild but in comfort. When/if traveling with a group for 6 or more people, I would definitely book this house again. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary dish and cookware. The heater worked great. And the house had plenty of games, puzzles, and a TV for entertainment. Wifi also worked great. The only downside is dealing with additional paperwork after booking through VRBO. So, keep an eye on your email inbox post booking to get everything submitted in a timely manner. ##### Sarah V. The spa was hot upon our arrival as we had requested. So close to town center and an easy walk or drive. The property is gorgeous, and we loved walking along the creek through the back yard. The house itself is huge and the bedrooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of clean towels and sheets. And the living room and kitchen were so cozy. On the negative side, the back deck is ready to fall through in places and desperately needs to be replaced. We had to avoid the entire right side of the deck since multiple boards were so soft and clearly falling apart that were had a real fear of one of us (or one of the kids!) falling through. We were also really excited for the hot tub, but unfortunately none of the jets on half of the tub were working. All in all, would definitely recommend, but it definitely needs some maintenance updates, especially for safety reasons. ##### Candice W. The deck was the place to be though! The scenery, the mountain air, the stars at night made gathering with family on the very spacious deck, all the more enjoyable. The trail behind the house made going into town or to the playground with kids so easy and convenient! We will stay here again the future. It easily accommodates large families ##### Jeanie H. Our group of ten women ranging in age from 23 to 80 to celebrate our birthdays enjoyed brunch on the expansive deck every morning with mimosas, birdsong and laughter - so beautiful and good for our souls! We walked to town, crossing the small creek, in minutes, and watched swarming ladybugs. It was a perfect three days and we only wished we could stay longer. ##### Martin W.
