The dinner was what you expect in a Ryokan (excellent). Breakfast was great but the same for all 3 days. Not many coffee shops or restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and Japanese style. Fresh yukata every day. Large rooms with seaview. Onsens both inside and outside. We had a rental car and travelled around. We also visited Kagoshima by train. They run some ride service, but you should be prepared to use the taxi, rental car, or bicycle to go anywhere. If you like quiet, it sure is.
