Susan is an excellent host. Unobtrusive, but there when needed and nothing is too much trouble. She also provides an excellent and varied breakfast. Although in the middle of the village, the property is private and secure. Our room was comfortable and lacked nothing. It was also warm as the temperature dropped below freezing outside. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely host and superb breakfast. If you are happy to awakened at 6am by the post arriving this is a lovely B&B. the post office below means a lot of noise from 6 onwards.

Highly recommended
Had a 2 night stay for our visit to Donington Park for the BTCC. The Post House is of a high standard with clean comfortable rooms. The breakfast is really good and we were pleased to have secure on site parking. Highly recommended.

An amazing place to stay-spotlessly clean, a very tasty breakfast, comfy bed and a great shower - Susan was a very friendly helpful hostess. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We were attending a family event in nearby Coalville and wanted somewhere convenient. The Post House was a genuine oasis in Ibstock, a very nice, friendly secure property offering an old-fashioned excellence of service. Our room was comfortable, the welcome from the owner Susan was perfect. Breakfast was freshly prepared and a standard well above that provided by the usual motel chains. We will certainly look to stay again for other famly occasions.

A very pleasant place to stay
Were greated by owners who were both lovely & helpful. Booked in & shown to the room, shown where everything was. Given keys so we could go out if we wanted. Plenty of information in the room regarding places to eat locally. There were takeaways in Ibstock you could use and take back to the post house & eat in dining room. There was also a guest lounge. Breakfast was great, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, poached eggs on toast, porrage, juice, tea, coffee, a very wide selection only a few items that needed pre-ordering the night before. Everything cooked to order. Although we only stayed one night on way back from York we loved staying here.

Excellent stay
Excellent stay, very clean and well appointed room with all the amenities you need. Nice large shower in bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Good parking available on site , you are given a button on your keys to open the security gate so you can come and go. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice for everybody. Overall an excellent place , you can book with confidence.

A Comfortable Stay
Check-in was until 8.00 pm which I hadn't realised and only just made it. Ibstock is a dire place but the Post House is an oasis in it. Parking is behind secured gates for which you are given a fob so that you can come and go with ease. Temp was taken on arrival which is reassuring. There is only one restaurant in Ibstock "The Bombay Brasserie" which serves very good Indian food. There are various takeaways incl Pizza, Chinese and Turkish and you are welcome to use the dining room of the Post House to eat. them. The breakfast was very good.

Friendly welcoming hosts accomodating to all.
Fantastic hosts well aware of the COVID-19 safety issues. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was extremely comfortable. Off-road parking with key fob gate was an advantage. Would recommend for both business and leisure especially for hikers wanting to explore The National Forest. Will stay again when in the area.

Liked everything about the Post House. Owner very welcoming. Everything you could wish for in the room! Toiletries, hot water bottle, tea and coffee making facilities , bottle of water,biscuits and a bar of chocolate!!Parking within a gated court yard. Breakfast excellent -either Full English or Continental- would thoroughly recommend this B/B.

Lovely B&B!
I can't fault this lovely B&B at all. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great and the host was so welcoming. I will be back when I'm next in the area!

Hi Jodine, Our Bed and Breakfast is our family home our living space is totally separate from our guest accommodation and rooms used by guests. If you happened to see me smoking it would have been because you looked into our private space not the B&B. We are very sorry you had an unpleasant stay because of this, perhaps I need to make sure guests cannot see into what is our private living area. Sorry you feel you couldn't say with us again.

The Post House represents the best of B&B accommodation. Everything is clean and tidy with nice touches to make you feel welcome, e.g. a very well stocked tea tray in the room. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Overall, the place is excellent value for money.

I was unable to find this B and B even after driving and walking up and down the road several times. Very disappointing as there was no clear sign pointing it out and my GPS also told me it was on the other side of the road to where it actually seems to be. I gave up and went and slept on the floor of my empty house.

All telephone calls to the land line are diverted to our mobile so we are on hand if a guest needs to contact us, I believe I left a message on your mobile when you hadn't arrived by our latest check in. 5 Star excellence all round. A very pleasant stay. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. I particularly liked the selection of teas, coffees and bottles of water plus biscuits which were available in the room. Also the walk-in wardrobe in the bedroom and the Power Shower in the bathroom. I shall certainly use The Post House again when I am in the area.
