Hotel itself was very nice, and the staff were very accommodating. A little disappointed with my room - run down in appearance, bed very uncomfortable, and there were dirty towels left in my bathroom.

Good for short trips.
Decent hotel with nice friendly staff. It is an older hotel but in good condition. I stayed here as my usual place was full. Had minor issues (internet, tv) and prefer to have a fridge for long stays. Breakfast I did not try as was rather high priced. Easy parking in the streets nearby.

Very kind and professional people that work there. Great breakfast. A true gem and we were able to get a good night of sleep before our cruise the next day. Quiet and safe neighborhood.

Lovely food
Quirky, somewhat old-fashioned but very comfortable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke fluent English. Excellent food.

Possibly the best hotel staff we have ever experienced (and we travel a lot). They are friendly and extremely accommodating. This statement applies to every single member of the staff from the owner to the waiters, the admin staff and the cleaning staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the location quiet. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, lovely people. Keep in mind that there is no air conditioning. It was perfectly comfortable sleeping with the windows open.

Basic amenities... Don't expect too much!
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Very basic room amenities... Expect better for the price we paid. Shower was basic and only getting a trickle of water due to damaged shower head hose. No safe or minibar. Only one bin in entire stay. Drinks Cups were paper and not reusable. No aircon in the room or temperature control. Stay was OK for one night as we only used the room for few hours sleep. Don't expect too much from the rooms.

A very pleasant restaurant, slightly quirky hotel and tremendous antidote to the chain hotels. Clean, friendly and perfect for business trip in this area. Not sure it is a tourist destination!

A wonderful surprise
Augusta Hotel is full of charm and ambiance, is very clean and well kept. Our room, though small, was comfortable. Reading other reviews we seem to have missed those lovely larger rooms (we were in Room 5). The stairs are steep and there is no lift. The staff of this hotel is by far the most helpful, cheerful, and kind of any we have experienced in our travels anywhere in the world! The breakfast that is included is traditional European as mentioned in other reviews. We did not take any meals in the restaurant though I would have liked to have the opportunity. Without question, we would gladly stay again in this hotel.

The Augusta Hotel is a beautifully kept older hotel, with high ceilings and excellent decor. The staff provided excellent customer service. assisted with luggage, local sites, and the easiest way to enter Amsterdam's city center. . The restaurant was magnificent. The food was exquisite, original, and extremely satisfying. The one drawback: There was not an elevator and the stairs to the other floors were quite steep, making climbing them difficult

No heating and air condation in hotel
The hotel was very old and cold. When we tell the staff turn on the heather he didnt .Also if you re over 40’s staircases like (Himalaya) i was abıut to fall down ! i cant recommend this hotel to anyone .
