The hotel is an older small town property, It needs a little polish but it has it where it counts. The staff is very professional, its clean rooms are well appointedand quiet, the food is good.

Let’s start with this. The ladies we encountered while our one night stay were the friendliest people you could ever encounter. The check in was as pleasant as one could hope for and truly made you feel like if there was anything you need, they got it handled. The tavern was exactly what we had hoped for. Nice big and open. We had some drinks, played the machines and had a good supper. Waitress overheard my gf and I talking about how we wished we had a deck of cards to play some rummy, within a minute we had that deck of cards along with pen and paper. Now with the negatives. What self respecting establishment in northern Alberta doesn’t have Sportsnet or some way to show the Oilers games? Hey owner, maybe that’s why your amazing bar is always empty? Also, not having the option to have breakfast onsite is a major downside to this place. But as a whole, we enjoyed our stay. Oh, the pillows on the bed were perfect. I greatly considered stealing these pillows.

This is an older hotel, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I stayed for 3 nights and slept incredibly well. I would definitely stay again.

NIce quiet hotel, Hythe is a pretty small town, we were there for a wedding, pleasantly surprised with the room. Comfy bed, bagged breakfast, restaurant on site. Will stay again.

Expensive for what little you got.
Was expensive and no free breakfast . Got a bag breakfast. Had to ask for hair dryer , etc . Much different than any other hotel I’ve stayed in. Won’t be staying in your hotel again unless have too as last resort.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was traveling with a small dog and they upgraded me to a main floor, king bed room so it would be easier for me to take the dog outside. Just a wonderful place. Room was comfortable, bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Had a clubhouse for dinner and it was huge; stacked high with fresh turkey (not sliced processed meat). Overall, a great place to stay.

Good location. Clean rooms. However no breakfast or anything available. Restaurant doesn't open until noon. The front desk staff who checked us in was fantastic but the one who checked us out was not. She never asked about our stay, and was not interested in guest services.

Staff was fantastic. Hotels normally come with irons, blow dryers, moisturizer, and conditioner. (hard to travel with these items.) This hotel did not have them? Otherwise great stay.

We arrived on the late side to find out we had booked the property for the prior night. Staff and manager were great about applying that reservation to the next day, so no extra charge. Staff was helpful and friendly!

We enjoyed our stay & kitchen help was very attentive. At check in the lady had a hard time figuring things out as we also added another night. We checked in on Wed. & Thurs AM we received a fraud warning on the credit card we had used...someone had shopped online at Walmart, so no knowing where it was, but they bought $188. worth of goods on our credit card! Not sure if it was someone from the hotel but it seems suspicious to me??! Of course our bank cancelled the credit card but that also made it difficult for payment & for using another credit card! Wonder if anyone else has had that experience? Now because our credit card was cancelled, we have problems with other payments that were on automatic payment from that card, so is a real pain...just because someone decided not to be honest!! Hopefully staff members are well screened!

Dear Barbara, Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to hear about the credit card fraud but be assured the staff from the hotel had nothing to do with this. The ladies working at the front desk have been there for over 3 years and are extremely trustworthy and respectable. I have personally never heard of any similar issues. The card provided to Expedia during the booking is only accessible by myself. No one else has access to the cards information. Please let me know if there’s anything I can help with. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make things good for you. The bathroom was very small, but beds comfy and clean, so we were happy. Needs basic needs like hairdryer, larger mirror etc.
