A wonderful, lean and well-appointed lake house that we keep visiting because it’s so charming. Perfectly located on the lake with its own beach. The host is friendly, fantastic and on top of everything.

This is a beautiful and well maintained property. The location is outstanding, with a clear view of the lake from the house and with easy beach and lake access when you walk out the front door. The kitchen is well outfitted for cooking and baking. The kitchen is also well organized. I loved the 2 mini refrigerators for drinks in addition to a larger refrigerator. The kitchen has a large dining table, but there was also a separate dining table in the dining room. The living room was well appointed with ample comfortable and attractive sofas and chairs. All three bedrooms were cute with comfortable beds. The host has thought of everything! One thing I have noticed as I have rented homes, is a home will say they sleep 10, but they have room for one towel to hang in the bathroom to dry. Unless all 10 people share a towel, which is unlikely, 9 towels just hand out on the floor or bed wet. Well here the host has thought of that. There are PLENTY of hooks in the bathroom, bedroom and entry way to hang towels, robes, clothes, a purse - this is just one example of how thoughtfully this property is outfitted for a comfortable stay.I hope to stay here again.

This was our second stay at An Old Lake House and we were happy to be back. Beautiful lake views and fun on the beach were a great way to cap off the summer. This classic lakeside house is lovely and comfortable, and starting to feel like home!

Adorable quaint lake house

We loved our stay here!!! We brought our kids for the first time to Cedar Point and the location was absolutely perfect to get back and forth to CP. You can even see CP from the beach in the distance across Lake Erie, so so pretty at sunset. You are literally right on the lake! Book this property you won’t regret it. We LOVED it!!!!

Beautiful location scary stairs

House is right on Lake Erie in a neighborhood. Older home as described but stairs and floors are uneven. I fell and broke bone in my left foot on stairs going to outdoor patio!. Place could be cleaner and cleaning fee way too high, especially for one person. Suggest they do a scaled cleaning fee based upon number of renters. Was cold and could not turn up heat thermostat as it had a lock, which was a first time ever experience after years of renting through Vrbo.

Love the Lake!

This comfortable, inviting house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay at the lake. Our family spent as much time as possible on the enclosed porch, deck and beach to enjoy clear summer days, beautiful sunsets and pretty cool storms over the lake. We look forward to visiting again.

This was my fourth stay at An Old Lake House, and it was as wonderful as ever. The house is so comfortable and well equipped, and the owner is super responsive when unexpected problems arise. The lake provides a fine backdrop for both play, rest, or reflection — whatever you choose. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Old bikers enjoy Old Lake House

Old Lake House has a lot of character and charm. Well equiped kitchen and access to good bike riding roads. Nice outside dining table and lake level picnic table. New shower facility was a hit with our group. Nice and quiet after labor day.

Great location and treasure of a house

This is our second year staying at An Old Lake House after 7 years at another location. It is really wonderful, especially if you like funky, eclectic (we do!). Everything is supplied with the house. Very comfortable. Clean, quiet, and on a beautiful lakefront location. We will return!

This was a beautiful place for our family to meet for a small reunion (5 adults over 50). Exceptionally clean throughout the home. We enjoyed playing cards in the sunroom, making meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and enjoying the nightly sunsets. The quaint charm of older homes does has its limitations…the modern conveniences are not always readily accessible (1 shower on the first floor, and navigating stairs and rooms for bathroom access on the 2nd floor). Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

A little slice of heaven on the water

This comfy cottage/family house was charming and efficient and we had the best time. All I needed to pack was a bathing suits and toothbrush because everything else was provided. The decor is so much fun and the owners think of everything for your enjoyment. I was lucky enough to meet Patty, the owner who is delightful !!!This is a great house for family and a retreat on the water that is very special. I’ve already booked next year. Thanks, Patty.

Relaxing!

We had a great stay. Everything you need is there. Even a pack n play and high chair! It was a perfect location to get down to the beach quickly. We had a lovely time!
