Good proximity to Algonquin Park. Patrick at desk very friendly and helpful. Room large and comfortable. View and sitting area at the lake very nice. Canoes available at no cost. Good value
We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. The room was clean and had a great view. The property is very cute and we loved the seating areas by the water.
The owners were wonderful and helpful.
J'y retournerais.
Dernier détail: demander une chambre à l,étage supérieur; mon voisin d'en-haut avait le pied pesant. ;-)
It was a really good experience to stay at this hotel. It is not that big but has almost everything for families those which are really enough. I enjoyed barbecuing, night fire, beach activities, and taking a rest in the yard and the room. Also, the hosts are really nice and friendly. It was a perfect experience for me and my son. Thank you!

I’ve stayed at most of the hotels along Highway 60, including Deerhurst and Hidden Valley.
Spring Lake is my favourite. Small, boutique-type hotel with immaculate gardens, an ideal pristine lake, and a devoted family running the place.
Fantastic all around. Looking forward to when Covid is over and the restaurant re-opens...it is also fantastic!
This is a low-key family run resort. The suite was perfect for us. The rooms were in good shape. I liked that the resort is located on a small lake with no boat traffic. It is right on HWY 60 so there is some background traffic noise, but it wasn't too bad. The supplied kayaks, canoes and SUP were enjoyed by both the kids and adults. The sandy beach does get deep pretty quickly so keep little ones within arms-reach. Huntsville, Dorset and Algonquin Park are all short drives away. I would definitely stay there again.
Very clean. Easy to use A/C thermostat. Staff were very polite and friendly on check-in and responded very quickly and efficiently to our request for more towels and bathroom supplies.
Down side was that guests are allowed to smoke in front of their rooms on the one long undivided balcony that ran in front of the rooms. I was really bothered by the second hand smoke wafting into the room from both the balcony and the grounds below.
The other major problem is very high iron content in the water, which stains the tub and all the linens orange. It also tastes unpleasant and my hair and nails are stained reddish-orange from only a one week stay, even though we were only there at night and first thing in the morning. (We were in the park the rest of the time.)
The room was perfect for our purposes and so clean! Such a shame that the smoking and the high iron water kind of spoiled our stay there.

We apologize greatly for the issue of iron in the water. We had a very unfortunate error that on Sunday, August 15th, there was a very short power outage which disrupted our water softening system, we then had to wait for someone to come and address the issue while we tried to treat the water as best as we possibly could. The water was absolutely safe-to-drink and use, however, we know that it was not a pleasant experience and we apologize for that ruining your stay.
Spring Lake Resort is a lovely retreat. The gardens and pristine beach complete with canoes and kayaks made our visit most enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this family run resort!
I understand that COVID is an issue and certain services were not available. The property was functional and generally a pleasant place to stay. I found the room a bit stuffy and copious amount of cigarette smoke infiltrated the room from the unit underneath us. Even though smoking was outside, it was just outside the room and contributed to the stuffiness. The property was really close to the highway which surprised a bit. However, the room was big enough for two people and the setting by the lake is nice.

Thank you for your feedback, we're sorry that you had to deal with the smell of smoke infiltrating the room, perhaps there was an issue with the air conditioning as an explanation. We will try our best to limit that from happening in the future.
Great service. Very well kept garden and property. Lots of activities to do in the property, (lake, trail)Lake view rooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We're glad that you enjoyed your stay and we can't wait to see you again!
The property is very conducive for retreat and relaxation. It's serene, nice view and very friendly hosts(Patrick & Irene). If you wish to be soaked in nature by the lake and feel you privately own the place, this is the right destination. We were excited to enjoy what their restaurant can offer, but unfortunately it is still closed due to pandemic. I highly recommend this place for people who wish to relax with nature. We will surely be back if given a chance to travel in this part of Ontario.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Clean, comfortable, nice little lake, well kept grounds, kayak, canoe, bbq, beach chairs, close to other restaurants, LCBO, and hiking trails. Friendly staff. Did I mention clean?
We will be staying here again.
Really enjoyed our stay at Spring Lake Resort. The rooms were clean and the grounds very pleasant. The small lake was full of tadpoles this time of year and there are a couple of canoes and kayaks available for free use. All rooms face the lake with a common walkway serving as a balcony.
The rooms were very clean and pleasant. The only thing that could have been improved was the availability of outlets to plug in the coffee maker, microwave, etc.
Plenty of files. Mostly dead. Some alive and flying in the bedroom and bathroom (on floor, pillow etc.). Worst was a piece of old gum stuck on the bed.
