Peaceful and comfortable. Good for quiet reflection, long walks, or sitting around with family or friends. Once you get there, there is the most beautiful place that looks like a large log cabin. It is right on the lake and there are trees everywhere. One of the most beautiful areas that I’ve been to. The room is huge and very comfortable. I also had a balcony that overlooked the lake. A short drive down a dirt road is required to reach the retreat. There was no TV in the room but that was not a problem as the retreat has WiFi coverage. The site is unbelievably beautiful, it is situated right on the lake, and there are boats, canoes and hiking trails included in the cost, as well as horses on site which can be ridden for an additional fee. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms are really comfortable with great views. I was there to get away for a weekend. This is definitely the perfect spot. However when I saw various amenities I knew I would come back for less solitude. My children and grandchildren would love it, the lake, the canoes, the swimming, tennis, trails to hike. This is a perfect place for a family get together.
